Industrial automation companies · CRM

Keep every plant, quote and contact in one record your engineers will actually update.

A CRM for an integrator is one shared record of plants, contacts, live quotes and installed lines, so a project does not live only in an engineer's phone. GullySales sets up the fields, stages and habits that fit a long technical sale and a commissioned base worth returning to.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What CRM means

A CRM is the record where every enquiry, call and quote is kept against a customer, replacing separate notebooks, spreadsheets and memory. GullySales sets up or cleans an existing CRM and reports from it by enquiry outcome rather than by activity logged.

For industrial automation companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The account lives in the engineer's head”

The senior engineer who visited the plant knows the contact, the line and the objection. When that engineer moves to commissioning or leaves, the quote goes silent and nobody else knows whom to call.

  • “A generic sales pipeline does not fit an evaluation of this length”

Stages such as lead, demo and proposal ignore site survey, technical clarification, vendor registration and purchase negotiation. Without stages that match, a stuck quote looks the same as a healthy one.

  • “Installed lines are never recorded as assets”

After commissioning, the controller make, version and warranty date sit in a project folder. The AMC renewal and the obsolescence upgrade are then missed because the record never prompts anyone.

  • “One plant, several contacts, one confused thread”

Maintenance, projects and purchase each speak to different people on your side. If those conversations sit in separate inboxes, a plant gets contradictory messages from the same company.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial automation companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Stages built around your sales cycle

Site visit, scope clarification, techno-commercial offer, vendor registration, negotiation and order, named in your own terms.

Result: A quote that has stalled is visible at a glance.

  2. Fields for plant, line and installed base

Industry, region, controller family, line type, commissioning date and warranty end recorded against each plant.

Result: An upgrade or AMC conversation starts from what is installed.

  3. Contact roles on every account

Each person tagged as engineer, plant head, purchase or promoter, with the last conversation noted.

Result: You know who has not been spoken to.

  4. A short entry routine for engineers

A few lines to record after a visit or call, designed so a senior engineer finishes it in minutes.

Result: The record stays current without a data-entry clerk.

  5. Enquiry intake from your channels

IndiaMART, website forms, trade show lists and referrals brought into one list with the source marked.

Result: Each enquiry has an owner before the day ends.

  6. A simple view for the managing director

Open quotes by stage, accounts with no contact lately and renewals coming due.

Result: The pipeline can be discussed without a spreadsheet hunt.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Fields worth keeping

These fields keep an integrator's plants and quotes on one record.

Plant and line being automated
Filled by the engineer who made the first visit. It lets sales find every quote for a baling line or a packing line later.
Controller and drive brands installed
Filled by the commissioning engineer. It tells sales which plants need obsolescence calls when a controller family is retired.
Contacts and their role
Filled by whoever meets them. It separates the engineer who raised the need from the purchase head who signs the order.
Quote stage and last technical round
Updated by the sales person after each call. It shows whether a quote is waiting on a technical or a commercial answer.
AMC end date and spares history
Filled by the service team. It lets sales call a plant before the contract lapses, with the spares list in hand.

Who it is for

This is written for these industrial automation companies.

  • PLC, SCADA and HMI system integrators
  • Control panel and MCC panel builders
  • Robotics and pick-and-place integrators
  • Special purpose machine builders
  • Process automation and DCS integrators
  • Industrial IoT, MES and energy monitoring providers
  • Authorised channel partners and distributors of automation brands
  • Drive, motion control and servo specialists
  • Retrofit and migration specialists for old control systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your engineers will not enter updates and nobody has the authority to make them, so the tool would only hold the first entry.
  • You handle only a few plants and know every one by heart, so a plain sheet would do the same work.
  • You have not settled how to record projects under confidentiality, so the record would break the agreement it should respect.

How it works

How the CRM work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We sit with the people who sell and write down how a deal moves from enquiry to payment, including where it stalls.

  2. 2

    Agree stages, fields and owners

Each stage gets a name your team already uses and a proof that the deal has left it. We agree which fields are required at which stage, and who may change what.

  3. 3

    Build on a copy

Pipeline, fields and views are built on a trial copy where the CRM offers one, or in a separate pipeline where the plan allows. Live work stays untouched.

  4. 4

Connect channels, then switch on automations

Channels are connected first. Each automation is then switched on separately, so a misfiring rule is easy to find.

  5. 5

    Test with real deals

The people who will use the CRM run open deals through it. Gaps are fixed before the whole team switches over.

  6. 6

    Switch over and trim

Once real use shows which fields stay empty and which stages nobody uses, those are cut and the handover record is updated.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Which CRM should an integrator choose?
Choose by whether your team will use it. Zoho CRM and HubSpot are in ordinary use in India, and a well-organised spreadsheet beats an unused system. We look at your team size and existing tools first, then suggest the simplest one that holds the fields above.
Our engineers will not fill in forms. What then?
Keep the entry to a few lines and tie it to something they want, such as a reminder before a quote deadline. We design the routine with the senior engineers so it matches how they already work on a site visit.
Can old projects be loaded in?
Yes, from your project folders, quotation registers and commissioning reports. We load the plants and installed lines your team can confirm, and leave unknown fields blank for later. A smaller record that is correct is worth more than a large one nobody trusts.
What constraint does a long project cycle put on the record?
A project can stay open for many months across several rounds, so a pipeline built for short sales fails. Record the technical and commercial stages separately and log each contact with a date. Otherwise you cannot say where the quote is stuck.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
