Industrial automation companies · Digital marketing

Reach the engineer, the plant head and purchase with one plan.

Digital marketing for an integrator is one plan across search, LinkedIn, IndiaMART and trade shows, aimed at the three people who decide an automation project. GullySales sets the calendar, names who owns each channel, and reports enquiries and quotes against it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For industrial automation companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Three people, three different worries”

The engineer wants proof it has been done, the plant head wants payback, and purchase wants the exclusions listed.

  • “Your engineers are the marketing, and they hate it”

A senior engineer pulled off commissioning to visit a prospect stops following up the day the next project starts.

  • “Nobody fills a form at eleven at night”

Plant engineers read at odd hours and ring the next morning, so the phone number matters more than the form.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial automation companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. One plan covering search, LinkedIn and IndiaMART

Each channel given a job and a person, so an enquiry is not lost between the portal, the inbox and somebody's phone.

Result: Nothing arrives and sits unopened for a week.

  2. Material written for each of the three deciders

An application note for the engineer, a payback note for the plant head, and a scope and exclusions sheet for purchase.

Result: Each person gets the page that answers them.

  3. Twenty minutes of engineering time a week

A fixed slot where an engineer talks through a recent job and somebody else writes it up, instead of asking engineers to write.

Result: Technical content stops waiting for a free evening.

  4. A calendar built on the plant year

Budget months, the annual shutdown and the exhibition season written into a plan, with what goes out before each one.

Result: You are present when plants are deciding.

  5. One report on enquiries and quotes

Enquiries by source and application, quotes raised and orders won, set against the baseline recorded before work began.

Result: You can drop a channel that never produced a quote.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for an integrator

Write the application pages and a quote tracker before any ads.

Application pages
Write a page for each line you have automated, such as bottle filling or conveyor sorting, with the PLC and SCADA used and what changed. Record which pages the plant engineers read.
A quote and purchase tracker
Log each quote with the plant, the engineer, the purchase contact and the next call. Phone the purchase team on the date, and record the reason a quote is lost.
An engineer's hour for writing
Give your engineers a set time to write a project note, with the plant name removed if the client requires it. Record who wrote what.
A target plant list
List the plants in your region by industry and the control systems they run. Visit them with one page about a similar line, and note the replies.
IndiaMART and LinkedIn
Keep the catalogue and the company page accurate. Tag each enquiry by source and filter out the single-drive buyers.
What to leave until later
Broad social posting and generic video. Plant engineers check proof, so write the application pages before you spend on reach.

Who it is for

This is written for these industrial automation companies.

  • PLC, SCADA and HMI system integrators
  • Control panel and MCC panel builders
  • Robotics and pick-and-place integrators
  • Special purpose machine builders
  • Process automation and DCS integrators
  • Industrial IoT, MES and energy monitoring providers
  • Authorised channel partners and distributors of automation brands
  • Drive, motion control and servo specialists
  • Retrofit and migration specialists for old control systems

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not settled whether you chase new plants or serve the installed base, so a plan would pull in two directions.
  • No engineer is willing to review a technical page before it goes live, and a wrong claim would reach a plant head.
  • You have no list of plants you want, so a spread of channels would reach people at random.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does LinkedIn work for automation?
For plant heads and project managers, yes. Posts about a commissioning problem get read by people who have had the same one.
Who owns this if the engineers are busy?
One person on the inside sales desk, with the engineers giving twenty minutes a week for the technical content.
How do we show installations when customers forbid it?
Describe the line, the problem and the outcome without the plant name, and show photographs of the panel only with permission. Ask each client at handover what you may publish, and write it into the order. Note which projects are cleared.
Should we invest in AMC and spares marketing?
Yes. List each installation, its spare parts and the service due, and call the plant before shutdown. Spares and service often follow the base you already hold. Record each spare enquiry and where the plant first heard of you.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
