Software testing companies · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for quick answers to product heads, without turning it into spam.

WhatsApp marketing for a testing company means using the channel where Indian product heads and founders already answer, for scheduling, document sharing and brief updates. GullySales works on what goes over WhatsApp, who sends it and where records are kept.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For software testing companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Founders and product heads reply on WhatsApp first”

A busy product head can leave an email unread but answer a two-line message about a call time. WhatsApp suits scheduling, reminders and the link to a sample report, and it does not suit a long proposal.

  • “A personal number mixes work and relationship”

When a salesperson uses a personal number, the conversation leaves with them. Use a business account or a shared inbox so that the thread, the documents sent and the commitments made stay with the firm.

  • “Release-day updates are a strong use”

During a trial, a short message that the report is shared or that a blocking defect was found keeps the client informed. Keep defect detail in the tracker and use WhatsApp only to point to it.

  • “Broadcast lists need consent and restraint”

Sending offers to a list of contacts who did not ask for them damages the name of a firm that sells trust. Send updates only to people who agreed to them, and check the platform's current rules on business messaging.

What we do

What we deliver for software testing companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business account setup

A business profile with a clear description, working hours and a greeting that names the services.

Result: A profile a prospect can read and trust at first contact.

  2. Message templates for common moments

Drafts for a call confirmation, a trial kick-off, a report delivered and a follow-up after silence.

Result: Templates that keep the tone consistent across salespeople.

  3. A rule for what stays out of chat

A short guide listing what must go through the tracker or email, such as client data, credentials and full defect details.

Result: A rule the team can apply when a client sends sensitive data by chat.

  4. A consent routine

A line at the first contact asking whether the prospect is happy to receive updates on WhatsApp, with the answer recorded.

Result: A record of consent against each contact.

  5. A link to the CRM record

A habit of logging the key points of a chat in the account record the same day.

Result: A CRM record that holds what was agreed on chat.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

The messages a testing firm's business number should be ready for.

First reply to an enquiry
A short message that asks which release is coming and offers a call. It moves the conversation from chat to a scoped trial.
Call confirmation
A message with the date, the link and the test lead who will join, so the product head knows a tester will be on the call.
Trial kick-off note
A message listing what access and builds the testers need and by when, written by the test lead and sent before the trial begins.
Release-day check
A short message from the test lead on the day of a release, agreed in advance with the client. Keep it to coordination, not reports.
Document pointer
A message saying the report or proposal is by email and that terms live in the document, to keep scope out of chat.
Opt-in update
A message to those who asked, with a new device or a checklist. Check the platform's current rules on broadcasts.

Who it is for

This is written for these software testing companies.

  • Manual and functional testing teams
  • Test automation and framework specialists
  • Performance and load testing providers
  • Security and penetration testing firms
  • Mobile app and device-lab testing providers
  • API and integration testing specialists
  • Domain-focused QA for banking, insurance and healthcare software
  • Independent QA firms that review another vendor's delivery

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Testers use personal numbers and client chats would leave with them.
  • You hope to broadcast offers to unknown contacts, which would harm the firm's name.
  • You plan to send defect details through chat.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can testers talk to clients on WhatsApp?
Allow it for scheduling and quick coordination, with a business number and the conversation logged. Defect details, test data and credentials go through the agreed tracker and secure channels.
Should we send bulk offers?
Send them only to people who agreed to receive them, and keep them useful. Check the platform's current rules before using any broadcast feature.
Can defect reports go over WhatsApp?
No. A defect may expose a client's system, and chat is not a safe place to keep it. Send the report through your tracking tool or by email, with access controls, and use chat only to say that it is ready. Check the client's security terms first.
Can we use a chatbot to reply to enquiries?
For a first greeting and a call link, yes. For a product head with a failed release, a person should reply, since the first answer shapes their view of your testers. Keep the automatic reply short and hand over to a named person.
Should we ask clients to join a group?
Only for an active trial, with the test lead, the project owner and one client contact. A large group becomes a support line and scope slips in as casual talk. Set a pinned rule about what stays in chat and what goes into a document.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
