Telecom and broadband providers · WhatsApp marketing

Take enquiries, address checks and fault updates on the app your customers already use.

WhatsApp marketing for a broadband provider means using the app households and offices already open every day to take enquiries, check addresses, share plan details and send service updates. GullySales works on the number, the replies, the permission to message and the record behind each conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For telecom and broadband providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry arrives as a photo of a router or a pin on a map”

A buyer sends a location pin, a picture of a flat's door or a screenshot of a rival's plan. Staff who treat these as ordinary enquiries and note the address get further than those who ask the buyer to fill a form.

  • “One staff phone holds the whole customer base”

When enquiries and customers sit on an employee's personal number, a resignation or a lost handset takes the contacts away. A business number shared by a small team keeps the history with the provider.

  • “A broadcast to every customer reads as noise”

A message about a new plan sent to everybody reaches households that already have it, people who have left and numbers that never agreed to hear from you. Messages that match the recipient's area and status are read; others are muted.

  • “Fault updates are the message customers want most”

During an outage a customer's first thought is whether the provider knows. A short message naming the area and the cause answers it before the customer calls, and it reduces the load on the support line.

What we do

What we deliver for telecom and broadband providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business number with a catalogue and quick replies

A WhatsApp Business number set up with the services, the areas served, working hours and saved replies for common questions.

Result: Enquiries come to a shared number, not a personal phone.

  2. An address-check conversation flow

A guided exchange that asks for the area or pin, confirms whether you serve it and records the result against the enquiry.

Result: Each chat ends with a recorded feasibility answer.

  3. Permission and opt-in record

A simple record of who agreed to receive plan and service messages, and how they agreed, with a way to stop.

Result: Messages go only to people who said yes.

  4. Message templates by stage

Approved wording for the enquiry reply, the quotation, the KYC request, the install date and the first-week check.

Result: Each stage has a ready message in plain language.

  5. Outage and maintenance notices

A template for telling affected customers the area, the fault and the contact point, sent to the right list.

Result: Customers hear about a fault from you first.

  6. Chat-to-record handover

A rule that every WhatsApp enquiry is entered in the lead record with source, address and next step.

Result: No conversation lives only in a chat window.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Messages a broadband provider sends on WhatsApp and the moment for each.

Address-check reply
Ask for the road, the building and a map pin. Reply with whether the line is wired, needs a check or is not yet available.
Plan details after a feasible address
A catalogue entry per plan with who it suits and the installation charge as the provider sets it. Link the booking.
Documents request
A checklist with examples of acceptable papers. Ask the sender to share files only through the route the provider names.
Installation reminder
The date, the technician and what to prepare, sent before the visit. It reduces missed appointments and repeat visits.
Planned maintenance or outage notice
Sent to customers who opted in, with the cause and the contact for questions. It is the message customers most want from the number.
Renewal or plan-change note
Sent to customers who agreed, stating the current plan and the options. Keep it to one message and offer a call.

Who it is for

This is written for these telecom and broadband providers.

  • Local fibre broadband providers
  • Cable TV and broadband operators
  • ISP franchise partners and sub-operators
  • Leased line and enterprise connectivity resellers
  • Wi-Fi providers for PGs, hostels and coworking spaces
  • Providers serving apartments and gated communities
  • Providers selling TV and OTT bundles with broadband

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Customers have not agreed to messages, and a broadcast to every saved contact would breach their trust and the platform's rules.
  • One staff phone holds the number and the owner will not move to a business account that more than one person can read.
  • No one answers on the number during evenings, when faults and enquiries arrive.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we message our customers without asking them?
Customers need to agree to receive promotional messages, and service notices are treated differently from offers. The platform and the law set the rules and they change, so check the platform's current rules and ask your own adviser.
Should we buy a list of numbers to message?
No. People who never heard of you will report or block the number, and the account can be restricted. Build the list from enquiries, installations and referrals, and record how each person agreed.
Who should answer the WhatsApp number?
A named team, with a rota for working hours and a clear hand-off to the field and support teams. Keep the number's profile accurate and say when a reply can be expected, so the buyer is not left guessing.
Can the number send outage notices to every customer?
Send them to customers who agreed to service messages, and keep them to facts. A notice to people who did not opt in annoys them and risks the number. Check the platform's current rules on utility messages, and record consent when the line is installed.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.
