Sales management · Performance evaluation
Score the software against your own needs before you watch a single demo.
A sales performance software evaluation is a scored comparison of CRM and performance tools against what your team must see and do, at the budget you actually have. This page gives the needs list, the scoring sheet, the trial rules, and the point where a shared sheet is the better answer.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
A sales performance software evaluation is a scored comparison of CRM and performance tools against what your team must see and do, at the budget you actually have. This page gives the needs list, the scoring sheet, the trial rules, and the point where a shared sheet is the better answer.
A building contractor in Pune sits through three demos in a week. Each tool looks excellent. The contractor signs up for the one with the best dashboard, and in the second month the two site-visit reps stop updating it because it needs eleven taps to log a call.
The fix is to decide what you need before you see anything. Write down the ten things your team must do or see in a normal week, mark each one as must-have or nice-to-have, and score every tool against that list, not against its own feature page.
The owner and the sales manager score together, and one rep who will use it daily sits in on the trial. It replaces the demo-led decision, where the best presenter wins. Every tool that appears on your shortlist, hosted or on your own server, needs the same test.
It comes after you have run the visibility routines on paper, because you cannot choose a tool for a rhythm you have not yet got. It sits next to CRM selection and rollout, which handles data and adoption once you choose.

If you want this done for you
Pick the CRM that fits how your team sells, not the one with the flashiest demo.
The work
What this is actually like.
“Price per seat is the smallest cost”
Add the setup, the data import, the phone-number and WhatsApp add-ons, a consultant's day if you need one, and the time your reps spend entering data. Compare the total for the first year, not the monthly fee on the pricing page.
“The tool that fits the manager can defeat the rep”
Dashboards are built for the owner. Logging a call, a quote or a visit is done by the rep, on a phone, in a lane between two shops. Test the logging path on a phone with weak signal before you judge anything else.
“Language and offline use are real requirements”
If your reps are more comfortable in Telugu or Marathi, check whether the app, the templates and the reminders work in it. Check what happens when the signal drops in a godown. A tool that loses data is worse than none.
“Say what the tool will not cover”
Every tool leaves a gap, such as commission calculation, stock-linked quoting or a distributor portal. Write the gap beside the score. You then know which sheet carries that part of the job, and nobody is surprised in month three.
What we do
What you end up with.
The documents this topic produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.
The needs list
Ten to fifteen rows: what the team must do or see, who does it, how often, and whether it is must-have. Written by the owner and the sales manager with one rep.
Result: Finished when each row names a real task from last week's work.
The scoring sheet
Tools down the side, needs across the top, a score from zero to three in each cell and a weight for each need. Totals at the end, and a notes column for gaps.
Result: Finished when two people scoring separately arrive within a few points of each other.
The trial plan
Two reps use the top two tools for a fixed period with real customers. A short log of what broke, what was slow and what the rep liked.
Result: Finished when each tool has been used for real quotes, not for demo data.
The total cost sheet
First-year cost for each tool: licence, setup, import, add-ons, training time. The cost per active rep at the bottom.
Result: Finished when the figure includes everything you will actually be invoiced for.
The decision note
One page giving the chosen tool, the reasons, the known gaps, the sheet that covers each gap and the date you will review the choice.
Result: Finished when the owner has signed it and the rejected tools have been told.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
