GullySales

Your site earns the authority that search engines look for beyond your own pages.

Gully Sales builds the links, mentions, citations and third-party presence that tell search engines your business is real, relevant and worth ranking, earned from sites your buyers already read rather than bought from lists.

  • Links from relevant industry and Indian sites, not from paid lists or link farms.
  • Assets on your site that other sites have a reason to cite, share and link to.
  • Every link and mention logged, checked for quality and monitored for risk.

Gully Sales Private Limited works with small and medium businesses across India on search visibility, content, marketing and sales systems.

In one paragraph

What is Off-Page SEO and Link Building?

Off-page SEO is the work of earning signals from other websites, such as links, mentions, citations and profiles, that tell search engines your business is credible and relevant. Gully Sales records your authority baseline, finds the link gaps against competitors, builds assets worth citing, runs outreach to relevant sites and monitors every link for quality and risk. Indian SMBs get durable authority without buying links.

The problem

Your pages are well built, but search engines have no reason to trust them yet.

Many Indian SMBs have done the on-site work. The pages load, the titles are right, the content is decent. Rankings still sit on page two or three, behind competitors whose sites are no better. The difference is usually off the page: who links to them, who mentions them, where they are listed and how consistently. Those signals take time to earn and are easy to fake badly, which is why so many businesses either ignore them or buy them and regret it.

You will recognise it as

  • You rank for your brand name but not for the services or products you actually sell.
  • A competitor with a weaker site outranks you and you cannot see why.
  • An agency once sold you a bundle of backlinks and you have never seen where they came from.
  • Your business is listed inconsistently across directories, with old addresses, phone numbers or names.
  • Nobody outside your own team has ever cited, quoted or linked to anything on your site.
  • You publish useful content, but it is only ever seen by people who already know you.

What it costs the business

  • Good pages stay invisible for the searches that bring buyers, so paid ads keep carrying demand that organic search should be sharing.
  • Authority built by competitors compounds year on year, and the gap gets more expensive to close the longer it is left.
  • Bought or careless links sit in your profile as a liability, and a future algorithm update or manual action can pull rankings down without warning.
  • Inconsistent listings and stale profiles make the business look smaller and less established than it is, to search engines and to buyers.

Why it persists. Off-page work is slow, invisible in the short term and hard to judge from the outside. An owner cannot see a link profile the way they can see a home page, and the market is full of vendors selling links by the hundred. Without a baseline, a plan and a way to check quality, most businesses either do nothing or buy volume, and neither builds authority that lasts.

If it stays unresolved. The on-page and technical investment you have already made keeps under-delivering. Rankings plateau, organic enquiries stay flat and the business keeps paying for every click. If low-quality links are already in the profile, the risk is no longer just missed growth but a penalty that takes months to clean up.

What changes

You get an authority programme you can see, check and defend.

In the first weeks

  • A clear picture of your current link profile, citations and third-party presence, against the competitors you actually lose rankings to.
  • A list of the links and listings that are hurting you, with a plan to disavow, fix or replace them.
  • A prioritised set of link and mention opportunities that are realistic for your business and industry.

In how the work runs

  • Assets on your site, such as guides, data pages, tools or resources, that give other sites a reason to reference you.
  • A running outreach process with named targets, drafted approaches and a log of every response.
  • Consistent business listings and profiles on the directories and platforms that matter for your sector.

In sales and marketing

  • Stronger visibility for the commercial keywords that bring enquiries, not only for your brand name.
  • Less dependence on paid search for demand you should be earning organically.
  • Referral visits and enquiries from the sites that mention you, independent of search rankings.

In what management can see

  • Your business appearing in the industry publications, directories and communities where buyers do their research.
  • Authority metrics that move in the right direction over the measurement period, tracked against the baseline.

Over the longer term

  • A link profile that compounds rather than decays, because every link was earned from a relevant source.
  • Resilience against algorithm updates and manual actions, because there is nothing in the profile to hide.

Gully Sales controls the research, the assets, the outreach, the quality checks and the monitoring. Rankings, traffic and enquiries depend on search engines, competitors and your market, so we report them honestly against a baseline rather than promise them.

Who it is for

This is for businesses that have done the on-site work and need the rest.

The businesses it suits

  • Indian SMBs whose website is technically sound and well written, but stuck behind competitors for commercial keywords.
  • Manufacturers, distributors and B2B service firms whose buyers research suppliers through industry portals and publications.
  • Clinics, professional practices and education providers where trust signals from third-party sites shape the decision.
  • E-commerce and D2C brands that need product and category pages to rank against marketplaces and larger rivals.
  • Businesses that bought links in the past and want the profile audited and cleaned before building again.
  • Companies with a content programme whose articles deserve to be found by more than their existing audience.

What usually prompts the call

  • A competitor with a weaker site has overtaken you for the keywords that bring enquiries.
  • An SEO audit has flagged low authority or toxic links as the reason your rankings have stalled.
  • You are about to invest in content and want it to earn links and mentions, not only sit on the blog.
  • Your business is entering a new market or category and has no presence yet on the sites buyers use there.
  • You have received a manual action notice or a sudden ranking drop and suspect the link profile.

What Gully Sales does

The work, component by component.

Authority baseline

We record where your business stands before any work begins: referring domains, the quality and relevance of each, anchor text patterns, citations and listings, brand mentions with and without links, and the same for three to five competitors you lose rankings to.

Why it matters:
Without a baseline nobody can tell whether the programme is working or whether a ranking change came from something else entirely.
You receive:
Authority baseline report with a competitor comparison and a scored inventory of every existing link and listing.
Business value:
You see the real gap, the real risks and a starting point every later reading is measured against.

Link-gap analysis

We compare your profile against the competitors ranking above you to find the sites that link to them and not to you, the industry publications and directories you are missing from, and the pages on your site that need authority most.

Why it matters:
Chasing links at random wastes effort; the gap analysis shows which links would actually change a ranking.
You receive:
Prioritised opportunity list, scored for relevance, achievability and expected effect, mapped to target pages.
Business value:
Outreach effort goes where it can move the keywords that bring enquiries.

Linkable digital assets

We plan and produce content on your site that other sites have a reason to cite: industry guides, original data or surveys, calculators and tools, reference pages, comparison tables and expert commentary tied to your sector.

Why it matters:
Sites link to things that are useful to their readers, not to a service page asking for a link.
You receive:
Asset plan with two to four assets produced per phase, each mapped to the outreach targets and keywords it serves.
Business value:
Your site becomes a source worth referencing, which earns links long after the outreach ends.

Outreach and placement

We approach relevant sites, editors, associations, portals and communities with a specific reason to reference you: an asset, an expert comment, a case, a listing or a partnership. Every approach is personalised, tracked and followed up.

Why it matters:
Earned links come from a real conversation with a real site, and that takes a process rather than a template blast.
You receive:
Outreach log with targets, messages, responses and placements, plus every earned link and mention recorded.
Business value:
You know exactly where every link came from and could show the list to anyone.

Quality controls

Every prospective link is checked before we pursue it and every placed link is verified afterwards: relevance to your sector, real traffic, editorial standards, anchor text, placement on the page and whether the site sells links.

Why it matters:
One bad link can undo ten good ones; quality control is what separates authority building from link buying.
You receive:
Written quality standard agreed with you, applied to every target, with rejected sites and the reason recorded.
Business value:
Nothing enters your profile that you would need to explain later.

Risk monitoring and clean-up

We watch your link profile for links you did not earn, negative SEO attempts, lost links, unnatural anchor patterns and Search Console warnings, and we act on them by reclaiming, disavowing or requesting removal.

Why it matters:
A link profile changes whether you work on it or not, and problems compound quietly until a ranking drop makes them visible.
You receive:
Monthly risk review, a maintained disavow file where needed and a record of every link reclaimed or removed.
Business value:
The authority you build stays protected, and a penalty is far less likely to surprise you.

What you will have at the end.

  • Authority baseline report covering your link profile, citations, mentions and three to five competitors.
  • Scored inventory of every existing link and listing, with toxic or irrelevant ones flagged for action.
  • Link-gap analysis and prioritised opportunity list mapped to target pages and keywords.
  • Linkable asset plan and the assets themselves, produced on your site each phase.
  • Personalised outreach sequences, an outreach log and a record of every placement earned.
  • Business listing and citation clean-up across the directories relevant to your sector.
  • Written link quality standard, applied to every target and shared with you.
  • Disavow file and removal requests where the audit finds harmful links.
  • Monthly authority and risk report against the baseline, with an anonymised sample available on request.
  • Handover documentation so your team or a future vendor can continue the programme.

How it runs

The engagement, step by step.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We crawl your link profile, citations and mentions, score every link, benchmark three to five competitors and agree the keywords and pages the programme must serve.

    You provide:
Search Console and analytics access, your keyword priorities and the competitors you lose to.
    We produce:
Authority baseline report, scored link inventory and the agreed target list.
    Done when:
You have signed off the baseline, the risks found and the pages the programme will focus on.
  2. 2

    Gap analysis and plan

We identify where competitors earn authority that you do not, shortlist opportunities by relevance and achievability, and set the asset and outreach plan for the first phase.

    You provide:
Feedback on which sites and publications matter in your market, and any existing relationships.
    We produce:
Prioritised opportunity list, asset plan and phase-one outreach plan.
    Done when:
Targets, assets and the quality standard are agreed in writing.
  3. 3

    Clean-up

Where harmful links or wrong listings exist, we request removals, prepare the disavow file and correct citations so the programme starts from a clean profile.

    You provide:
Confirmation of correct business details and approval of the disavow list.
    We produce:
Removal log, disavow file and corrected listings.
    Done when:
Harmful links are addressed and your listings say the same thing everywhere.
  4. 4

    Asset production

We research, write and publish the linkable assets on your site, working with your subject experts so the content carries real knowledge rather than generic filler.

    You provide:
Access to one or two subject experts for interviews and review, and sign-off on drafts.
    We produce:
Published assets, each mapped to its outreach targets and keywords.
    Done when:
Assets are live, indexed and ready to be referenced.
  5. 5

    Outreach and placement

We run personalised outreach to the shortlisted sites, follow up, negotiate placements, supply comments or contributions where asked and verify every link that goes live.

    You provide:
Occasional expert input for contributions and quick approvals of quotes attributed to your team.
    We produce:
Outreach log, placements earned and verified link records.
    Done when:
The phase's placement targets are met, or the shortfall is explained and replanned.
  6. 6

    Monitor and report

Each month we read authority metrics, keyword visibility, referral traffic and risk signals against the baseline, and adjust the next phase's targets and assets accordingly.

    You provide:
A monthly review slot and any changes in priorities or markets.
    We produce:
Monthly report with the next phase plan and a running risk review.
    Done when:
You can see what was earned, what it took and what changed, and the next phase is agreed.

Ways to work with us

Engage for the audit, for a programme, or for a clean-up.

Authority audit and plan

The baseline, competitor benchmark, link-gap analysis and a prioritised plan you can run yourself or with another vendor. Suited to a business that wants to know where it stands before committing to outreach.

Link profile clean-up

For businesses with bought, spammy or irrelevant links in the profile, or a manual action to recover from. Removal requests, disavow file, citation corrections and a clean baseline to build on.

Ongoing authority programme

The full method run in phases: assets, outreach, quality control and monitoring, with monthly reporting against the baseline. Suited to businesses competing for commercial keywords in an established market.

Programme with content and on-page

The authority programme combined with Gully Sales content and on-page work, so the pages being linked to are also the pages worth ranking. For businesses starting organic search seriously for the first time.

Why Gully Sales

What you are actually choosing when you choose us.

We build authority; we do not sell links.

Gully Sales does not buy placements, use private blog networks or trade links. Every link comes from outreach with a real reason behind it, and we can show you the conversation that earned it.

Off-page work is planned against the keywords that bring enquiries.

We start from the pages and searches that produce leads for your business, so authority is built where it changes revenue, not spread thinly across the whole site.

We work alongside your on-page, technical and content work.

Off-page SEO is one part of the organic visibility pillar at Gully Sales. Where a page cannot rank for reasons on the site itself, we say so and fix the cause before pointing links at it.

Everything is logged and yours to keep.

The baseline, the inventory, the outreach log, the quality standard and the disavow file are handed over. If you stop working with us, your team or a future vendor can pick up exactly where we left off.

We know the Indian search landscape.

We know which Indian directories, portals, associations and publications carry weight in your sector and which are link farms in disguise, and we build the programme around the former.

Where it applies

The same service, in different businesses.

Industrial manufacturing

The situation:
A component manufacturer ranks for its own name but loses every product-category search to larger competitors listed on industry portals and cited in trade publications.
How it applies:
The gap analysis shows the portals and publications that link to competitors; assets on specifications and applications give those sites a reason to reference the manufacturer; outreach places the listings and mentions.
Likely benefit:
Category pages gain the authority they were missing and the business appears where buyers compare suppliers.

Healthcare and clinics

The situation:
A specialist clinic has good content, but trust signals from third-party sites are thin and the profile carries a few links from an old vendor that look unnatural.
How it applies:
Clean-up of the questionable links, consistent citations across medical directories, and expert commentary placed in health publications and communities with the doctors' input.
Likely benefit:
The clinic's pages carry the authority a patient's search demands, and the profile no longer holds a risk.

Professional services

The situation:
A firm of chartered accountants or consultants publishes useful articles that nobody outside its client base ever reads or links to.
How it applies:
Turn the knowledge into reference assets, place expert comments and contributions in business media and association sites, and reclaim unlinked mentions.
Likely benefit:
The firm's expertise starts to earn discovery from prospects who have never heard of it.

E-commerce and D2C

The situation:
A D2C brand's category pages sit behind marketplaces and larger rivals because the site has almost no referring domains.
How it applies:
Product guides, comparison assets and seasonal resources that publishers and bloggers reference, plus outreach to relevant reviewers and communities under a strict quality standard.
Likely benefit:
Category pages gain relevant links, and referral traffic arrives from sites buyers already read.

Education and training

The situation:
An institute competes with aggregators for course searches and has no presence on the education portals and forums where students research.
How it applies:
Listings and citations corrected, resource assets built around admissions and careers questions, and outreach to portals, alumni networks and industry associations.
Likely benefit:
The institute earns the authority to compete with aggregators for the searches that bring applications.

Proof

Work we can point to.

Vijaya Multi Speciality Hospital, Bangalore

The problem:
The hospital's authority and visibility online did not match its standing in Bangalore healthcare, and it was not ranking where patients searched for it by name.
What we did:
Gully Sales built backlinks to improve authority, optimised keywords to rank the hospital's name at the top, set up Quora marketing for patient-focused visibility, and created and configured its Google Business and social profiles.
The result:
The case study reports improved search visibility for hospital-related keywords and stronger brand positioning across all digital platforms. It states no figures.

Kerur Pain Clinic, led by Dr Ravi Kerur

The problem:
The clinic set out to build its presence beyond its own website, on search and on the platforms where patients ask questions about pain treatment.
What we did:
Gully Sales delivered website development, SEO, social media marketing and Quora marketing, building the clinic's presence on third-party platforms alongside its own site.
The result:
The case study reports that the approach — market research, website development, SEO optimisation and social media marketing — resulted in significant improvements in visibility, engagement and brand recognition. It states no figures.

Questions buyers ask

Before you enquire, the answers you will want.

How will link quality and relevance be protected?

Every prospective site is checked against a written quality standard before we approach it: relevance to your sector, real organic traffic, editorial control, no visible sale of links and a natural placement on the page. Rejected sites are logged with the reason. After a link goes live we verify it, record its anchor text and location and keep watching it. We never buy links, use link networks or exchange links, and you can see the conversation that earned each placement in the outreach log.

How long before authority work shows anything?

It depends on where your profile starts, how competitive your keywords are and how many assets and placements each phase needs, so we set the period in the audit rather than quoting one here. Authority builds slowly by nature, and search engines take time to reflect new links, so we plan in phases and read results at the end of each phase rather than week by week. The audit-and-plan option is a fixed piece of work; the programme continues for as long as the reporting shows it is earning its keep.

What inputs are required from my side?

Access to Search Console and analytics, your keyword and page priorities, the competitors you lose to, and confirmation of your correct business details for listings. During asset production we need one or two subject experts for a short interview and a review of drafts. During outreach we occasionally need a quick approval of a quote or contribution attributed to your team. A monthly review slot keeps the programme aligned with your priorities. Everything else is handled by Gully Sales.

How is authority growth measured?

Against a baseline recorded before work begins and agreed with you in writing. We report monthly on authority growth, priority-keyword visibility, qualified organic traffic to the target pages, referral traffic and enquiries from placed links, assisted conversions, content engagement on the assets and the risk position of the profile. Rankings and traffic depend on search engines and competitors as well as on our work, so we report them honestly as trends against the baseline rather than as promises.

What link work will you not do?

On-page optimisation, technical fixes, local SEO and Google Business Profile management, review generation and ongoing content marketing are separate services in the same pillar, and we will point you to them where they are the real constraint. We do not buy links, place sponsored posts disguised as editorial, use link networks or trade links. Paid media, social advertising and website rebuilds are outside this service, though Gully Sales offers them separately.

Do you buy backlinks or use guest-post marketplaces?

No. Bought links and marketplace guest posts are the most common reason we are asked to clean up a profile, and they carry a real risk of manual action. Every link we earn comes from a personalised approach to a relevant site with a reason to reference you: an asset, an expert comment, a listing, a contribution or a partnership. Where a publication charges a legitimate fee for a listing or membership, we tell you and let you decide, and it is recorded as such.

What if my site already has bad links from a previous agency?

That is a common starting point. The audit scores every existing link, flags those that are irrelevant, spammy or unnatural, and we agree with you which to leave, which to request removal of and which to disavow. We prepare and maintain the disavow file, check listings for wrong details and record everything so you have a clean baseline. If a manual action has already been applied, the clean-up includes the reconsideration request.

How many links will I get each month?

We do not price or plan by link count, because a target number of links per month is how link buying starts. Each phase sets a placement target based on the gap analysis and the sites realistically available in your sector, and the report shows what was earned against it. Ten relevant links from sites your buyers read do more than a hundred from directories nobody visits, and they carry no risk of a penalty.

3 more questions

Can this work if my website is small or new?

Yes, with realistic expectations. A new site with a clean profile is easier to build than one full of bad links, and the assets we produce give it something worth referencing from the start. The programme focuses on a small number of commercial pages and keywords first, earns relevant links and listings for those, and expands as authority grows. We will tell you honestly if on-page or technical work must come first.

Is off-page SEO different from digital PR?

They overlap. Digital PR earns coverage and mentions in media for brand reasons; off-page SEO earns links, citations and mentions to move search visibility for specific pages and keywords. In this service every placement is chosen for its effect on your target pages and its relevance to your sector, and unlinked mentions earned through PR are reclaimed as links where possible. Where your brand needs a media programme in its own right, our communications team handles it separately.

How does this fit with on-page and technical SEO?

Links point authority at a page; the page still has to deserve it. If the audit finds pages that cannot rank because of crawl, speed or content problems, we say so and either fix them under our on-page and technical services or wait until they are fixed before building links to them. The programme is planned with your keyword strategy so that off-page, on-page and content work serve the same pages and the same enquiries.
