CRM, lead flow and sales techniques · Inbound business strategy and alignment
Say why your business exists in words your counter staff can repeat.
A purpose and culture statement says why the business exists from the customer's side, what job customers hire it for and how the team behaves when nobody is checking. This page builds it from customer conversations and ends in a one-page statement your staff can use.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
A purpose and culture statement says why the business exists from the customer's side, what job customers hire it for and how the team behaves when nobody is checking. This page builds it from customer conversations and ends in a one-page statement your staff can use.
A family-run diagnostic lab in Belagavi has a framed mission on the wall, painted when the second branch opened. Ask the phlebotomist what the lab is for and the answer is reports on time. Ask a customer why they chose it and the answer is that the doctor's clinic is next door and the report comes on WhatsApp. Neither answer is on the wall.
A statement written in a closed room describes the owner's hopes. A statement built on conversations with recent customers describes the job they actually gave you. The gap between the two is the reason to do this: it shows where your pitch, your pricing and your hiring have been aimed at the wrong thing.
The owner writes it and the family and senior staff argue over it. It replaces the wall frame. It sits upstream of the one-page plan and the goals, which both depend on knowing what the business is for, and alongside brand work, which turns the statement into the way you speak.
Where this sits
Topic 13 of 13 in crm, lead flow and sales techniques: inbound business strategy and alignment. Company-level planning that keeps sales, marketing and service aligned.
- The topic before
- Selling after the sale
If you want this done for you
Say what you do differently before you say it louder.
The work
What this is actually like.
“Take money out of the why”
If the reason you exist is profit, every business has the same reason. Write what you sell and how you do it differently first. Then write why it matters to the person on the other side, without the word rupee. If a competitor could print it under their logo, keep going.
“Customers hire you for a job, not a product”
A lab is hired for a clear answer before the next doctor visit. A tuition class is hired to take a worry off the parents. Ask ten recent customers what was happening the week they started looking, and write down the job in their sentence, not yours.
“Values are behaviours when nobody is watching”
Pick five at most. For each, write what the behaviour looks like when the owner is away and one real decision that came out differently because of it. A value with no past decision attached is a poster.
“Statutory duties are the floor, not a value”
Licences, safety rules, wage and records rules in your trade apply whether or not you write them down. Put a line in the statement saying the floor is met and who checks it. Rules differ by state and change, so check with your own CA or lawyer.
What we do
What you end up with.
The documents this topic produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.
The draft purpose lines
Three one-line statements covering the product, the way the business sets itself apart, and the reason a customer should care. Written by the owner and tested on two staff members.
Result: Finished when the receptionist can repeat the purpose in their own words without looking.
The customer job notes
Notes from calls with recent customers: what was happening, what they tried first, what else they considered, what made them choose you. Type them up untidied.
Result: Finished when at least one customer's phrase appears in the purpose lines.
The values and behaviours table
Columns: value, what it looks like unobserved, one past decision that shows it, what it rules out. Five rows at most. Owners and senior staff draft it together.
Result: Finished when each value has a real past decision beside it and one thing the business will now refuse to do.
The one-page statement
Purpose, the job customers hire you for, the values with their behaviours, the statutory floor, and who will thrive here and who will not. Pin it where hiring decisions are made.
Result: Finished when a job candidate who hears it can say whether they would fit.
Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
