In one paragraph

An inbound readiness diagnostic rates how well marketing, sales and service attract, engage and delight buyers, then finds the biggest drop-off between enquiry and referral. This page ends with a scored grid, a funnel count and a journey-first redesign of your process.

A modular furniture maker in Pune gets enquiries from Instagram messages, WhatsApp, IndiaMART and walk-ins at the Baner showroom. The Instagram messages are not counted anywhere, the IndiaMART leads go to one person and the showroom visitors go to a register. Ask how many enquiries came in last month and three people give three numbers.

The buyers have changed their habits more than the businesses have. They read reviews, ask friends in a group chat and compare photographs before they ring you. By the first call they are halfway through the decision. A diagnostic tells you whether your team is selling the way they now buy.

The owner runs it with the heads of marketing, sales and service in one working session, and the sales head fills the funnel counts. It replaces the guess about where the problem is. It sits before the process and funnel pages: it tells you which of them to do first.

Where this sits

Topic 13 of 13 in crm, lead flow and sales techniques: inbound business strategy and alignment. Company-level planning that keeps sales, marketing and service aligned.

The topic before
Selling after the sale

If you want this done for you

You do not know which part of the funnel is actually losing you money.

The work

What this is actually like.

  • “A WhatsApp-only enquiry is a lead”

Count every person who asked something: Instagram message, WhatsApp, call, IndiaMART, walk-in. Put them in one sheet. A funnel counted from the web form alone shows a small top and a great conversion, and both are wrong.

  • “Rate with an example, not an opinion”

Give each of the nine cells a score from one to five and write one real example beside it. Sales available on WhatsApp chat is an example of engage. A service reminder after delivery is delight. A score with no example is a mood.

  • “Fix the lowest cell, not the average”

An average of three makes a weak cell vanish. Find the lowest score and the biggest numerical drop in the funnel. If they point to the same place, start there. If they do not, trust the numbers.

  • “Write stages from the buyer's side”

Proposal sent is something you did. Shortlisted us is something the buyer did. A process built from seller activity counts effort, and a process built from buyer progress counts deals that are really moving. Rewrite each stage so it ends with something the buyer decided.

What we do

What you end up with.

The documents this topic produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.

  1. The three by three grid

Attract, engage and delight down the side; marketing, sales and service across the top. Nine scores, each with an example. Run it in a ninety-minute session.

Result: Finished when the lowest cell has a named example and an owner.

  2. The funnel count sheet

Counts for the last ninety days: enquiries including WhatsApp-only, qualified, opportunities, quotations, won, onboarded, gave a referral. The sales head fills it from the CRM or the sheets.

Result: Finished when you can point to the biggest drop and say how many people it lost.

  3. The buyer experience audit

Review ten recent touchpoints: a call, a WhatsApp thread, a quotation, a showroom visit. Mark each as helpful, human and consistent, yes or no.

Result: Finished when every no has a one-line rewrite.

  4. The journey-first stage list

Current steps from enquiry to payment, each marked as seller activity or buyer progress, then rewritten so every stage ends with a buyer decision and an exit test.

Result: Finished when each stage can be proven by something the buyer said or did.

  5. The diagnostic page

The grid, the funnel and three fixes on a single sheet, each fix with an owner and a first action.

Result: Finished when the owner can read the sheet in five minutes and name this quarter's first fix.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need a CRM to do this?
No. A shared sheet with one row per enquiry is enough for a first count. Add a source column and a stage column and fill them in for ninety days. You will know then whether a CRM is worth the cost.
Who should be in the room?
The owner, whoever answers the phones, a sales lead and the person who handles service. Leave out outside agencies for the first session. You want your own team's honest view.
What if the numbers are rough?
Use them anyway and mark them as estimates. The biggest drop is big enough to show up even in rough data. Refine the count over the next quarter.
How does this differ from the sales process pages?
Those pages teach you how to run each step. This diagnostic tells you which step is losing buyers. Do this first, then pick the process page that matches the drop.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts. For sales work it is mostly our time, with production only where scripts, decks or CRM setup need it.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time and follow-up are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Process, CRM and training changes show as the team uses them. Each one is tracked against the baseline.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
