Branding and graphic design studios · Branding

The studio that positions everyone else has never positioned itself.

Brand identity work for a studio is about its own position: who you design for, what you are known for, and the sentence a past client uses when a friend asks for a designer. GullySales works on that positioning and the words around it, and leaves the design with you.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For branding and graphic design studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • We are not going to touch your logo

You do the design. The gap is the sentence that says which businesses you are for.

  • Being known for one category wins better work

A studio known for food packaging loses the wedding card job and gains the D2C founder.

  • Your proposal is judged the way your work is

The quote document and the invoice are read as evidence. A drifting one is expensive.

What we do

What we deliver for branding and graphic design studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A written answer to who you design for

The categories worth being known for, decided from the projects that paid well and ran cleanly, written as a sentence rather than a mood board.

Result: You stop being a studio that does everything for anybody.

  2. The sentence a past client uses to recommend you

The line clients already say when a friend asks them for a designer, found by asking them and then sharpened so it gets repeated accurately.

Result: A recommendation arrives describing the work you want.

  3. Your own site and profile copy rewritten

The about page, the Instagram bio and the opening paragraph of the proposal written from that position. The design of all three stays yours.

Result: The words finally match the work in the grid.

  4. Proposal and invoice wording that reads like the studio

The structure and the language of the quote, the scope note and the invoice, so the paperwork is judged as kindly as the portfolio. You set the layout.

Result: The documents stop undercutting the work.

  5. A note on what to say no to

The project types to turn down or refer elsewhere, agreed with you, each with a short reply ready so nobody has to invent one at midnight.

Result: Saying no takes a minute and costs you nothing.

  6. Positioning checked against what you charge

The categories you want to claim set beside your fee range, so the work you are selling can carry the price you need.

Result: The position and the invoice agree with each other.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for branding and graphic design studios

  1. 1

    Assess

During the free audit we review where your last projects came from, how quotes were decided, how many revision rounds each took, and which clients came back.

  2. 2

    Package the work

Scoped packages, a paid discovery stage and a revision policy written down before the next quote goes out.

  3. 3

    Rebuild the portfolio

Case pages grouped by project type, with the brief and thinking behind each piece.

  4. 4

    Grow referrals

Partner relationships with architects, interior designers, printers and incubators, tracked so none go quiet.

  5. 5

    Keep the client

A handover conversation and retainer offer so the next brochure, pack or signboard comes back to the studio.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why a studio brings us in for its own pipeline.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

We work the part after the enquiry as well: the reply, the follow-up, the proposal and the CRM your own pipeline runs on.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

You are a marketing firm. Will you redesign our identity?
No. That is your craft. We work on the positioning and the words around it.
Should the studio carry the founder's name?
It works while the founder is the designer. It gets in the way the day you step back.
How do we justify our fee against cheap online logos?
Show what the fee buys beyond the file. A cheap logo comes with no trademark check, no guidelines and no artwork sized for the signboard. A scoped package lists those lines, so the founder sees what the gig-site price leaves out.
Should we check trademarks before presenting a name?
Yes, at least a basic public search of the trademark registry in the client's class. Add a note that a formal search and filing belong with a trademark attorney. It saves the client from falling in love with a name they cannot protect.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
