E-commerce · Bags

A wallet is a gift first, so it has to arrive in a box that looks like one.

A wallet is small, carried every day and often handed over in a box. The buyer is frequently not the user, which means a gift buyer who cannot test the leather and wants to know if the recipient will like the size and slots. Photographs on a white background tell them very little.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Wallet e-commerce is the online sale of men’s and women’s wallets, card holders, money clips and clutches in leather and other materials, many of them bought as gifts. GullySales works on how your pages prove leather and build, how card and note capacity is shown, and how gifting seasons and personalisation are planned for.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell wallets online.

  • Leather wallet brands selling to men and women
  • Card holder and slim wallet makers for the minimalist buyer
  • Sellers of personalised and monogrammed wallets
  • Corporate gifting suppliers of wallets with logos

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who labels PU as genuine leather
  • Anyone who promises RFID protection without a test to show

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of wallets.

  1. Leather type and the feel

Full-grain, nappa, saffiano, or PU. The buyer reads the type, looks for a close-up of the grain, and asks how it ages.

  2. Card slots, notes and coins

How many cards, whether the note compartment is full length, whether there is a coin pocket, a zip or a window for an ID. A photograph of the wallet open and loaded answers it.

  3. Thickness in the pocket

Slim bifolds and card holders are bought to avoid a bulge. Thickness in millimetres when full is a number buyers search for.

  4. Gift packaging and personalisation

Initials, a message card, a gift box and the date by which it must arrive for a birthday or festival.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell wallets online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Gift buyers return it for being too thick or too small”

They could not tell the dimensions or the slots from the photograph, and the user did not like it.

  • “Personalised wallets cannot be returned and buyers know it”

A buyer who is afraid of a spelling mistake in the initials hesitates, and the page does not say how the proof is confirmed.

  • “Sales come at Diwali, Father’s Day and Raksha Bandhan, and nowhere else”

A seller with the right stock in the wrong week sells little, and an unprepared one runs out.

The scope

The work we would propose for wallets.

Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for wallets.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A capacity and thickness panel

Slots, note space, coin pocket and thickness when full, in the same layout on every wallet.

  2. A leather and care note

The leather used, how it will age and how to look after it, linked from the listing.

  3. A gifting calendar

The last order dates for personalisation and delivery for each occasion.

  4. A personalisation proof message

A WhatsApp or email proof of the initials sent before engraving, so the buyer approves the spelling.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Average order value
  • Return rate
  • Personalised orders and proof approvals

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Dimensions, slot count and thickness for each wallet
  • Return reasons from gift orders
  • Personalisation options and their production time
  • Corporate enquiries and what became of them
  • Your sales around Raksha Bandhan, Diwali and Father’s Day

Selling in India and abroad

Selling wallets beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Gifts to and from the diaspora

Many overseas orders are gifts sent to relatives in India or abroad. Delivery dates and a message card matter most.

  2. Leather and material rules

Some countries regulate leather goods and certain animal materials. These are checked with your adviser before you list a wallet abroad.

FAQ

Questions about selling wallets online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I show a wallet’s size online?
Photograph it open, loaded with cards and notes and next to a ruler, and state the thickness when full. A buyer who is choosing a wallet for somebody else trusts a picture of the thing in use.
Can I say my wallet blocks RFID?
Only if you have a test result and say what it covers. The claim is confirmed with your adviser first. Buyers read it as a security promise, which is more than most wallets can carry.
Is personalisation worth offering?
It lifts the order value and separates you from the marketplace listing. It also adds proofing and a no-return rule, so it needs a clear process. We build that before it goes live.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
