E-commerce · Cleaning & Household Supplies

Nobody is loyal to a tissue roll, so the price per sheet decides everything.

Paper products, meaning toilet rolls, kitchen towels and tissues, are bought on the unit rate. Two packs look the same on the screen, and the buyer divides the price by the number of sheets to see which is cheaper. A seller that does not state the sheet count and size makes the buyer do the sum without facts.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Household paper product e-commerce is the online sale of toilet paper, kitchen rolls, facial tissues, napkins and paper towels, bought in packs for homes and small offices. GullySales works on how your listings show sheet count, ply and pack size in a comparable way, how a buyer is offered a standing pack, and how bulk and office buyers are separated from households.

It is also a product that is heavy for the money and bulky for the carton. The courier charge, not the paper, is what decides whether it is worth selling.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell paper products online.

  • Toilet paper and tissue brands selling by the pack and by the carton
  • Kitchen towel and napkin sellers for homes and small cafes
  • Brands selling bamboo, recycled and unbleached paper to buyers who care about the material
  • Distributors selling bulk cartons to PGs, offices and clinics

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller whose pack counts and sheet sizes vary and are not stated
  • Anyone shipping a single roll at a price that the courier fee exceeds

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of paper products.

  1. Sheet count and size

Number of sheets per roll, size of each sheet and number of rolls per pack. The buyer works out price per hundred sheets.

  2. Ply and feel

Two-ply or three-ply, soft or plain, embossed or not. A kitchen towel is judged on absorbency, which is shown by spilling water.

  3. Material and sourcing

Virgin pulp, recycled, bamboo, unbleached. Buyers who choose it for the planet look for a clear statement of what the fibre is and whether anyone certified it.

  4. Pack and subscription

A pack of twelve, a carton of forty-eight, a standing order. Households buy once and then want it to arrive on its own.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell paper products online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “A competitor lists more rolls for the same price”

The rolls are thinner or shorter. The listing does not show the sheet count, so the buyer sees only the roll.

  • “Delivery costs more than the margin”

Paper is bulky for its price, and a small order loses money on the courier bill alone.

  • “Office buyers order once and vanish”

A clinic or small office buys a carton, and no one reminds the office manager when it runs out.

What we do

What you get for paper products.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A per-hundred-sheets table

All your packs with price per hundred sheets, so the better value is visible and honest.

  2. A material statement

Plain words on what the paper is made of and what papers you hold, written for the listing.

  3. A bulk order sheet

Carton sizes, prices by quantity and delivery terms, in a format an office manager can forward.

  4. A courier-cost check by pack

Which pack sizes pay for their own delivery, and the order value below which a pack should not be offered.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Average order value
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate
  • Orders that cover delivery cost

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your pack range with sheet counts, sizes and ply
  • Your delivery cost for each pack and city
  • Documents for any sourcing or material claim
  • Bulk and office enquiries so far
  • Marketplace and website links

Selling in India and abroad

Selling paper products beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Bulky and cheap

Paper is the wrong product to send abroad in small lots. Overseas selling makes sense only for specialty items such as handmade or recycled stationery-grade tissue.

  2. Local sourcing claims

Certification and environmental labels differ by country. Do not repeat a claim abroad that you have only confirmed in India.

FAQ

Questions about selling paper products online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I show my tissue is better value than a cheaper pack?
Put the sheet count and size in the listing and the price per hundred sheets beside the pack price. Then the buyer compares like with like. If your product is thinner than it looks, that will show, and the product needs changing first.
Should I sell paper on a subscription?
It suits households that buy the same pack. We would set it up with WhatsApp or email reminders, and the buyer has to agree to receive them. Whether your store supports a true subscription is confirmed in the audit.
Can I sell tissue and napkins to restaurants this way?
Yes, but a restaurant is a trade buyer who wants a rate for a carton and regular delivery. That sale belongs on a quotation page, not a retail cart.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
