E-commerce · Cleaning & Household Supplies

A bin sits in the kitchen for years, and the buyer chooses it by the lid and the smell.

A waste bin is a long-lived item that the buyer thinks about only when the old one cracks or the lid breaks. The buyer wants it to look decent, stay shut, take a standard bag and not smell. The reviews that decide the sale are the ones that say the pedal snapped or the lid came off.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Waste bin e-commerce is the online sale of pedal bins, swing-lid bins, open bins, segregation bins, sensor bins and outdoor dustbins in plastic and steel, for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and offices. GullySales works on how your listings show capacity, lid action and fit for the space, how segregation sets are explained, and how bin liners are sold with the bin.

Wet and dry segregation adds a second purchase. A household told to separate waste by the society buys two or three bins, and buys liners for each.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell waste bins online.

  • Plastic waste bin makers selling pedal, swing and open bins in several sizes
  • Stainless steel and sensor bin brands aimed at kitchens and offices
  • Sellers of segregation sets with wet, dry and hazardous bins
  • Brands selling bin liners and garbage bags alongside bins

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller whose pedal and hinge parts break early and cannot be replaced
  • Anyone selling a sensor bin with no battery or power details on the page

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of waste bins.

  1. Capacity and the bag that fits

Litres, and the bag size for it. A buyer wants to know whether the standard bag at home fits or whether the brand's own must be bought.

  2. Lid, pedal and hinge

Soft-close, swing, pedal or sensor. The failure the buyer fears is the pedal or hinge, which is where reviews concentrate.

  3. Material and smell

Plastic, stainless steel or powder-coated metal, and whether the lid seals against odour. A kitchen bin is judged on its smell.

  4. Where it stands

Under a sink, beside a counter, in a bathroom corner, on a balcony. Footprint and height decide whether it fits the space.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell waste bins online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “The pedal breaks in a few months”

A plastic linkage under repeated use fails, and the review shows a snapped pedal. The listing never said what it was made of.

  • “Buyers cannot find liners that fit”

A bin that needs a particular bag size loses a reorder to whoever sells that bag cheaper.

  • “Society rules make buyers want two bins and we show one”

A buyer who needs a wet and dry pair has to find two separate listings and pick matching colours.

What we do

What you get for waste bins.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A size and fit chart

Each bin with litres, footprint and the bag that fits, so the buyer knows which one stands in their space.

  2. A pedal and hinge spec line

The material, the build and any test behind it, put in one line beside the lid information.

  3. A wet and dry set page

Sizes, colours and liners in a set, with a guide to what goes in each bin.

  4. A liner page by bin size

A page that matches liners to every bin you sell, so a replacement is one click.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Average order value
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Return rate
  • Liner sales alongside bins

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your bin range with capacity, material and bag size
  • Reviews and returns for pedals, lids and odour
  • Which sets and liners sell with which bins
  • Photographs of the bins in a home
  • Marketplace and website links

Selling in India and abroad

Selling waste bins beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Bin and bag sizes abroad

Other countries use different bag sizes and municipal bin rules. Say what your bin takes in litres and inches.

  2. Bulk and shipping

Bins ship bulky, and nested bins are cheaper to post. Start from the orders you already have.

FAQ

Questions about selling waste bins online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do I need to list the bag size for my bin?
Yes. A buyer who cannot tell whether a standard bag fits will message or leave. A single line with the bag size helps, and so does a link to the liners you sell for it.
Is it worth selling sensor bins online?
They sell on novelty, and they come back on battery and sensor faults. If you sell them, state the power source and say who fixes a fault. The listing should say that much before it says smart.
How do I sell wet and dry bin sets to housing societies?
Treat the society as a buyer of many sets. A page for committee orders, with a quote and a delivery date, handles that better than a retail cart. Each quotation needs a follow-up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
