E-commerce · Collectibles
Our stamps are sorted in albums and our customers want them found by topic.
A philatelist rarely buys a single stamp in isolation. They fill a gap in a set, follow a theme such as birds, railways or freedom fighters, or collect a country across a period. They search by catalogue number or by topic, and a shop that stocks thousands of items in a drawer has nothing a search engine can find.
A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.
In one paragraph
Stamp e-commerce is the online sale of postage stamps, miniature sheets, first-day covers, postal stationery and philatelic albums to collectors who browse by country, theme and issue date and care about gum, perforations and postmarks. GullySales works on catalogues that let a collector search that way, on listings that describe condition in philatelic terms, and on a mailing list that tells a collector when their topic arrives.
Many stamp sellers already have a loyal mailing list and a stock book. The work is getting that stock online in a form a collector can search, and keeping the list informed.

Who it is for
This is written for you if you sell stamps online.
- Philatelic dealers with stock books of Indian and world stamps
- Sellers of first-day covers, special covers and miniature sheets
- Thematic specialists who sell stamps about railways, wildlife, cinema or sport
- Postal stationery and philatelic supplies sellers dealing in albums, hinges and tongs
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A seller who cannot catalogue the stock and expects the platform to do it
- A dealer who has never kept a list of what each collector wants and will not start
How buyers choose
What decides the sale of stamps.
Country, theme and catalogue number
Collectors search by country, year and catalogue number, or by theme. A listing that has none of them is not found.
Mint, used or cancelled to order
Condition language differs from coins: mint never hinged, hinged, used, postmark clarity, gum condition, perforation faults. The buyer reads these carefully.
Sets and blocks
A complete set or a block of four is worth more to the buyer than single pieces, and they ask whether the set is complete.
Covers and postmarks
For first-day covers, the buyer checks the date, the place of the postmark and the cachet. For used items, whether the postmark falls across the design.
Where sales are lost
What usually goes wrong when you sell stamps online.
In the words sellers use on the first call.
“We have thousands of stamps and no way to list them”
Cataloguing is slow, and a shop that lists twenty a day never finishes. The pieces collectors want most are not the ones that get listed first.
“Collectors keep ringing to ask if we have a particular stamp”
A search function on the site would answer it. Without one, the owner repeats the same enquiry by phone.
“New issues sell out before we tell anybody”
Special covers and new issues go quickly. The collector hears too late, and the sale goes to a seller who sent a message at once.
The scope
The work we would propose for stamps.
Measured on purchases, conversion rate, cost to win a customer, average order value and repeat purchases. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.
- A catalogue built for philatelistsStock organised by country, year, theme and catalogue number, with a search a collector can use, starting with the sets you sell most.
- Pages for themesPages for topics people search, such as railway stamps, bird stamps or issues on a given anniversary, linking to the pieces in stock.
- New-issue alertsA list of collectors sorted by country and theme, who receive a message the day a new issue or cover is in.
- Email for the older collectorAn email list for collectors who prefer it, with new arrivals grouped by country and theme.
A cataloguing order
A plan for which part of the stock to photograph and list first, based on what you sell and what collectors ask for.
What we do
What you get for stamps.
Each deliverable and what it is there to change.
A cataloguing plan
A listing order for the stock, with the fields to capture for each stamp, so the most requested pieces go online first.
A listing template with philatelic terms
Catalogue number, condition, gum, perforation and postmark in the order collectors read them.
A collector list by country and theme
Names and interests, kept in a form that can send messages to the right collector.
A new-issue message
A short text and photograph for each arrival, ready to send as soon as stock is in.

What we need from you
What to have ready before the audit call.
None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

- The questions collectors ask by phone most often
- Any website or marketplace store you already use
Selling in India and abroad
Selling stamps beyond your own market.
Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.
Collectors of Indian philately overseas
Overseas collectors of Indian stamps and covers look for catalogue numbers in the system they use. They are served well by English listings with clear scans and a registered postal service.
Postage and customs
Stamps are light and travel in letters, though registered post and insurance matter for valuable sets. Customs rules for each country are checked with your postal service and adviser.

Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
