A quality manager needs a reading they can defend to an auditor, and a supplier who can calibrate it again.

A testing instrument is bought to answer a question about a product: is the moisture in range, is the fabric strong enough, is the paint thick enough. The buyer is a quality manager who is judged on the answer. They search for the test, not for the instrument, and they want to know that the reading will be accepted by a customer or an auditor.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Testing instruments e-commerce is the selling of pH and conductivity meters, moisture analysers, viscometers, hardness testers, colorimeters and spectrophotometers to quality labs in factories, food units, textile mills and testing houses. GullySales builds pages by the test the buyer runs, and sets up the calibration, service and reorder that keep the instrument and the account alive.

Selling the instrument is the start. Calibration, the certificate that travels with it, a place to send it for adjustment and a supply of probes and standards keep the buyer coming back.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell testing instruments online.

  • Dealers for moisture analysers, balances with test functions and pH or conductivity meters
  • Suppliers of viscometers, hardness testers, tensile and compression testers
  • Sellers of colorimeters, spectrophotometers and turbidity meters to process industries
  • Manufacturers of soil, cement, textile or paper testing instruments for institutions

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Sellers who cannot provide a calibration route. A quality manager who cannot recalibrate the instrument will not buy it.
  • Anyone who plans to promise accuracy or a result on a page. The maker's specification and the buyer's own checks are the only source.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of testing instruments.

  1. The test method, then the instrument

A buyer starts from what has to be measured and by which method, often named in a customer's requirement or a trade standard. The page should say which tests the instrument is built for, as the maker describes them.

  2. Range, resolution and the sample

Measuring range, the smallest division the display shows, the sample size and the time a reading takes are compared in a table. Buyers also ask for the maker's stated repeatability and how it was determined.

  3. Calibration certificate and recalibration

A quality manager asks what certificate comes with the instrument, who recalibrates it and what the lab does when the auditor asks for the record. A supplier with a calibration partner has an advantage.

  4. Probes, standards and consumables

pH buffers, electrodes, test cells, reference materials and probes are used up. Buyers ask where to get them and whether the supply is steady.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell testing instruments online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Buyers ask for a price and cannot say which instrument suits their test”

A short request that asks the product, the test, the range expected and the method named by the customer lets you suggest an instrument and not guess.

  • “We lose to a cheaper instrument that gives different readings”

Two instruments can disagree on the same sample. A demonstration on the buyer's own sample, and a clear statement of what the maker specifies, gives the buyer more than a lower rate.

  • “The instrument sold, then a year later nobody can find the calibration contact”

An instrument that cannot be recalibrated is a liability in an audit. A calibration page and a reminder when the maker's schedule comes due keep the buyer yours.

  • “Our range is wide and our site shows only product names”

Quality managers search by test, such as moisture in grain or hardness of plastic. Pages organised by test, with the instruments that carry it out, are the ones found.

What we do

What you get for testing instruments.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A test-to-instrument guide

A page that leads from the property measured and the product to the instruments in your range. It is the first page a quality manager reaches.

  2. A specification comparison table

Range, resolution, sample size and the maker's stated repeatability for each model, side by side, with the maker named as the source.

  3. A calibration and service page

The route for calibration and repair, the certificate that comes with an instrument and who issues it. It answers the audit question before it is asked.

  4. An instrument register

Each buyer's instruments with serial, purchase date and the maker's schedule, so a call about recalibration or probes is about a specific item.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified enquiries
  • Quotation requests
  • Demonstrations on the buyer's sample
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Orders won
  • Calibration and probe reorders

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your instrument list with range, resolution and the tests each performs
  • Calibration route and certificate details, and who issues them
  • The maker's specification sheets and manuals
  • Samples or a place for a demonstration
  • A list of current labs with the instruments they own

Selling in India and abroad

Selling testing instruments beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Test methods differ by market

A buyer abroad refers to the methods their customers and regulators use. State which methods the maker says the instrument supports and leave the buyer to decide if they suit.

  2. Calibration far from home

An instrument sold abroad still needs recalibration. Name the calibration partner in that country, or say that it returns to you and what that costs in time and freight.

FAQ

Questions about selling testing instruments online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I tell a buyer which instrument gives the right reading?
Do not promise a reading. Show the maker's range, resolution and stated repeatability, and offer a demonstration on the buyer's sample. The quality manager then judges it against their own method.
Is calibration worth offering as a service?
If you can arrange it through a lab or partner you trust, yes. It brings the buyer back and answers the audit question. State clearly who does the work and what certificate it produces.
How do I reach quality labs in one industry such as food or textiles?
Write a page in that industry's own terms, such as the tests a grain buyer or a mill runs. Then approach the quality heads directly. A page for a named test is what they search for.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
