E-commerce · Office Supplies & Equipment

Nobody buys a file one at a time, and nobody quotes you for a box.

Filing is a sale of quantity. A single folder is not worth a courier charge, and the buyer is almost never a single person. It is an office administrator, a CA firm before the tax season, a school office, a hospital records room.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Filing supplies online are folders, box files, lever arch files, binders, clear pockets, document wallets and labels, bought in packs by offices, schools and accountants, and sized to a paper standard. GullySales works on how your listings state the size, capacity and pack count, how bulk quantities are priced and quoted, and how an office is reminded to reorder.

The mistakes that cost sales are small ones: a file that is foolscap when the buyer needed A4, or a pack that has ten when they thought it held twenty.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell filing supplies online.

  • Sellers of lever arch, box and ring binder files in volume
  • Makers of document wallets, folders and clear pockets for offices and institutions
  • Dealers who supply accountants, advocates, schools and hospitals
  • Sellers of labels, dividers and index tabs sold alongside the files

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A seller who cannot supply the same colour and size in the next order
  • Anyone selling single files at retail price, where the courier charge alone defeats the sale

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of filing supplies.

  1. Paper size and capacity

A4 or foolscap, and how many sheets or what thickness of spine a file holds. A lever arch file is bought by the number of pages it must carry.

  2. Material and weight

Pressboard, plastic, PVC-coated, board. Whether the corners hold up after a year of opening and closing. Offices judge a file on whether it still looks fine a year later.

  3. Pack quantity and unit rate

The price per file across 10, 50 and 100. A buyer who needs two hundred looks for a better rate and rarely finds it written down.

  4. Colour and the ability to match later

A department files by colour, and a mismatch when the next order arrives in a slightly different shade is a complaint.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell filing supplies online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “The buyer wanted A4 and got foolscap”

Both sizes appear in the same dropdown and the title says only file. A return on a bulk order is a very costly one.

  • “Accountants buy before the tax season and forget us after”

A firm that ordered two hundred folders last year does not remember the supplier's name. There is no message before they need more.

  • “We lose bulk buyers because we do not show a rate”

They see a retail price for one, assume the hundred will cost a hundred times as much, and call a dealer who tells them otherwise.

What we do

What you get for filing supplies.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A paper size and capacity guide

A page that shows A4 against foolscap and what each file type holds, linked from every listing.

  2. A quantity rate table

Rates for the ordinary pack sizes, so a buyer can see what two hundred will cost without calling.

  3. A sample pack offer

A small mixed pack sent to an office decision-maker, with a note on what to ask for next.

  4. A customer reorder sheet

What each regular buyer bought, in what colour and quantity, to message before they run out.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Qualified business enquiries
  • Quotation requests
  • Orders won
  • Repeat orders
  • Returns for the wrong size

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your file and folder range with sizes and capacity
  • Your usual quantity rates
  • Orders by customer type, office, school or professional firm
  • Returns because of the wrong size or colour
  • A list of regular customers and when they usually order

Selling in India and abroad

Selling filing supplies beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. A4 against letter and legal

Outside India and Europe, offices file letter and legal sizes, and a file made for A4 does not fit. Selling filing products abroad starts with that size question.

  2. Bulky, low-value parcels

Files are light for their volume and expensive to ship per piece. Export orders make sense in volume, which is why we start from business buyers you already supply.

FAQ

Questions about selling filing supplies online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I sell files online when the order value is low?
Sell in packs and to businesses. The profit is in the quantity and the repeat, so the page should show a pack price and a quote option and encourage a larger basket.
Should I list A4 and foolscap together?
List them as separate products with the size in the title. A buyer who picks the wrong size from a dropdown will not blame the dropdown. Give a note that says which size matches which paper.
How do I get more orders from accountants and schools?
Know when each of them buys and send a sample and rate before that. Tax firms order ahead of the filing season and schools before the term. Local buyers prefer a supplier who comes with the invoice and the stock.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
