Coaching centres and tutors · Pay per click advertising

Buy the weeks after results, not twelve months of exam keywords.

Pay per click advertising for a coaching centre buys attention in the short window when families are choosing, which is the weeks after board and entrance results. GullySales narrows the ads to the area your students travel from, keeps free-material hunters out of the account, and sends every click to a booking.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For coaching centres and tutors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Nearly all of it belongs to two windows”

Results and the weeks schools reopen carry the admissions. A campaign left running in October spends on students browsing between classes.

  • “Free material hunters will drain the account”

Downloads, answer keys, solved papers and free online tests are typed by people who have never paid for a class. Those words have to be blocked, not bid on.

  • “The chains own the exam name, you own the radius”

Set the campaign to the few kilometres a child can travel after school. A click from the far side of the city is money spent on somebody who will never attend.

  • “A test slot is an easier ask than an admission”

A parent will book a scholarship test or a diagnostic on a first click. Asking the same click for an admission enquiry gets far fewer of them.

What we do

What we deliver for coaching centres and tutors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns built per exam and per area

One campaign for each batch worth filling, with a radius drawn around the schools and localities your current students come from.

Result: Spend stays inside the area you can actually teach.

  2. A blocked-word list for free material

Notes, papers, keys, solutions and free test phrases kept out of the account, reviewed through the season.

Result: The budget reaches parents rather than downloaders.

  3. A booking page behind every campaign

A page for the demo class, the diagnostic or the scholarship test the campaign offers, with timings and the teacher on it.

Result: A click ends in a slot booked, not a brochure.

  4. Ads scheduled to the counselling desk

Hours set so ads run when somebody who can answer a fee question is actually at the desk, with a WhatsApp option outside them.

    Result: A results-day enquiry reaches a person.

  5. Calls and WhatsApp clicks tracked separately

A number used in advertising alone and a tagged WhatsApp link, so an enquiry can be traced back to the campaign that paid for it.

Result: You know which exam campaign produced the admission.

  6. Cost per admission reported by campaign

Spend against demos attended and fees collected for each batch, compared with the baseline agreed before the first ad ran.

Result: Next season's budget goes where it filled seats.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for at a coaching centre, and the ones to keep out.

Exam plus city, such as NEET coaching in Kota or KCET coaching near me
Bid on the exams you really coach, one campaign per exam. A parent typing an exam and a place is comparing institutes now, so put the batch details in the advert.
Class and subject, such as class 10 maths tuition near me
Bid for the boards and classes you teach, with the area. Home tuition and centre tuition are different buyers, so say which you offer.
Fee, scholarship and batch timing searches
Bid with care. These parents are comparing institutes, so the page should explain how fees are set and what the batch covers. Check the current advertising rules for education claims before using results.
Free classes, notes, previous papers, PDF, YouTube and app searches
Block. Add free, notes, previous year papers, pdf, YouTube, app, mock test and download as negatives. Students looking for study material will not pay for a batch.
Where the click lands
Send the click to the page for that course with batch dates, faculty and a demo class booking form. Add a WhatsApp button for parents who prefer to write.
Counting a real enquiry
Count a demo class booked and then attended, not a click. Mark admission and fee paid in the enquiry register, and read each exam's advert against admissions.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the pay per click advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the total budget

We agree the full paid advertising budget available across all platforms, rather than planning each one separately.

  2. 2

    Audit current platform performance

We compare existing campaigns on a shared basis to see where the budget currently performs best and worst.

  3. 3

    Build the cross-platform plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with a shared measurement standard from the outset.

  4. 4

    Implement and monitor

Campaigns run with budget allocated dynamically based on real-time performance.

  5. 5

    Measure and reallocate

We report performance and shift budget toward what is working, within agreed limits.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should we keep aside for the season?
Enough to stay visible for the whole results fortnight in your own area, rather than a thin amount stretched across the year. The figure is worked out after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and written into the fee note beside your media spend.
Are YouTube ads worth it for entrance coaching?
They reach the aspirant, who is already watching lectures there, and not the parent who pays. Use them to fill a scholarship test or a free doubt session, then let the counsellor handle the fee conversation with the family.
Should a coaching centre bid on the names of big coaching brands?
Not usually. Someone searching a national brand wants that brand, and platform rules on using another business's name differ. Spend on exam, class and area searches, and bid on your own centre's name in a small campaign.
Should an institute bid on its own name?
Yes, in a small campaign. Parents told about you by a neighbour or an old student search your name, and a rival or directory can sit above you. Keep it cheap and report it apart from the exam searches.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
