State board schools · Local SEO

Be the school the map shows when a family nearby searches for a seat.

Local SEO for a state board school means making the school appear, with correct details, when a family in the same town or surrounding villages searches on a phone. GullySales works on the Google listing, the address, the photographs and the reviews a school is allowed to ask for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For state board schools

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The map is the first look a family takes”

A parent in a new locality opens the map and types 'school near me'. They see names, photographs and ratings before any website. A school with no photographs or a wrong pin has lost the first impression before a word is read.

  • “A wrong pin sends parents to the wrong gate”

Some schools have a main gate on one road and an office on another. If the pin lands on a back lane, visitors turn up late and flustered. Placing the pin at the gate where visitors should enter is a small change with a real effect.

  • “Reviews need a calm, honest reply”

A parent may leave a complaint about a fee or a teacher. A courteous, factual reply in the home language is read by every later visitor. A reply that argues, or no reply at all, is read the same way.

  • “Villages around the town search from their phones too”

A family ten kilometres away may not know the school by name but will search for the nearest one with their syllabus. The listing's service area and description should name the villages the school serves.

What we do

What we deliver for state board schools.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google business listing

Name, address, pin, hours, phone, classes offered and board followed, all set to match the school's own records.

Result: The listing and the notice board give the same address and the same hours.

  2. Photographs taken at the school

Classrooms, laboratory, library, playground and the gate, photographed in daylight with the school's permission.

Result: The photographs show what a visiting parent would meet.

  3. A review request routine

A polite request in the home language to parents who are happy to write, with no payment or pressure.

Result: The office has a short wording to send and a place to note who was asked.

  4. Replies to every review

A short, factual reply to each review, drafted for the head or office to approve.

Result: No review on the listing stands unanswered.

  5. Consistent school details across directories

The same name, address and phone on the education directories where the school is listed.

Result: A search shows one set of details wherever the school appears.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we ask parents to write reviews?
You may invite them, politely. Do not offer gifts, fee concessions or any payment for a review, and check the platform's current rules and your state's advertising rules for schools.
What if a former parent posts something unfair?
Reply courteously with the facts the school can state, and offer to discuss it with the office. Do not name the child or reveal fee or conduct details in a public reply.
Does an aided school need a different listing?
The listing is the same, but the wording about fees and admissions must follow the rules that apply to aided schools in your state. Check these with your management and the education department.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
