Financial planning firms · WhatsApp marketing

Answer the family on the channel they already use.

WhatsApp marketing for a planning firm means using the chat families already live in for booking, reminders and clear answers, with the planner still in charge of advice. GullySales works on the first reply, the message templates and the rules for what goes in a chat.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For financial planning firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families message before they call”

A spouse who is unsure about phoning a stranger will send a short message first. A firm that answers the chat politely gets the conversation that a missed call would have lost.

  • “Advice does not belong in a chat thread”

A message can book a meeting and send a reminder. A recommendation about a person's money needs the planner, the record and the compliance rules, and a chat thread is a poor place for it.

  • “Both partners need to be in the loop”

A booking sent to one phone is read by one partner. A reply that asks for the other partner's number, with consent, helps get both to the first meeting.

  • “Rules govern business messaging”

The platform has its own rules for business accounts and templates, and messaging rules apply to anyone you contact. Check the platform's current rules, and message only people who have asked to hear from you.

What we do

What we deliver for financial planning firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A first-reply message set

Drafted replies for enquiries, covering greeting, a goals question and a meeting invitation.

Result: Every chat gets a clear first answer.

  2. Booking and reminder templates

Short messages that confirm a meeting, say what to bring and remind both partners.

    Result: Meetings carry written confirmation.

  3. A click-to-chat button on goal pages

A link on each goal page that opens a chat with a prefilled line about the goal.

Result: A reader can start a conversation from the page.

  4. A rule sheet for the team

One page saying what may be sent in a chat and what must go to a meeting or a document.

Result: The team knows where the line sits.

  5. Consent and opt-out wording

Plain wording that asks permission to message and honours a request to stop.

Result: Each contact has a recorded consent.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should we use the business app or the API?
Start with the business app if one person handles the chat. The API suits a larger team, and costs and rules differ. We recommend by team size and check the current terms with you.
Can we send market updates to clients on chat?
Be careful. A market note can read as advice or promotion, and rules apply to registered advisers. Keep chats to service and booking unless your compliance adviser has approved the content.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
