Insurance aggregators · Search engine optimisation

Be the comparison page a buyer finds when typing a real insurance question.

SEO for an insurance aggregator is the work of getting comparison and explainer pages found by buyers who search by age, family, vehicle or city. GullySales works on page structure, search intent and plain language, inside the rules your licence sets.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For insurance aggregators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Head terms belong to the biggest brands”

Searches such as best term plan are held by sites with years of links behind them. A newer aggregator gains ground on narrower questions: cover for parents above sixty, a particular vehicle's renewal, a city's hospital network. Narrow pages can win where broad ones cannot.

  • “Thin comparison tables read as copies”

If your table repeats the insurer brochure, a search engine sees one more copy. The page needs something the brochure omits: what the waiting period means for a buyer with a known condition, or how a deductible changes a claim.

  • “Compliance words and search words collide”

Writers reach for best, cheapest and guaranteed because buyers type them. Your compliance head will strike them out of the page. Settle a list of accurate substitutes before writing begins, so the pages are not rebuilt after review and the launch is not held up.

  • “An app-first brand loses its web trail”

Where the journey lives mostly in an app, the web has few pages for a search engine to read. Give each product and question a public page that links into the app, or the brand is invisible to a buyer who has not installed it yet.

What we do

What we deliver for insurance aggregators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Search intent map by product

A grouping of the questions buyers ask for term, health, motor and travel cover, marked as learn, compare or buy, with the page type each needs.

Result: A map that shows which questions have no page yet.

  2. Page templates for comparison and explainer pages

A layout for a comparison page and another for an explainer, each with a plain summary, the table, the exclusions and a clear next step.

Result: Two templates your writers reuse without redesign.

  3. Title, description and heading clean-up

Existing pages rewritten so each names the product, the buyer and the question, without claims your compliance head would reject.

Result: Every key page has its own title and heading.

  4. Technical check of the quote journey

A review of speed, mobile layout, indexing and duplicate quote URLs, so search engines read the pages and not the form states.

Result: A list of faults found, ranked by the pages they affect.

  5. Internal links between products and explainers

Links that carry a reader from an explainer on claims or exclusions to the matching comparison page.

Result: Each explainer points to the page where a buyer can act.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will SEO replace our paid campaigns?
No promise of that kind can be made. Search pages and paid campaigns do different jobs, and the pages built for SEO also lift the landing pages paid traffic arrives on. Rankings are never guaranteed.
Can we publish insurer comparisons without permission?
What you may state about insurers and their products depends on your licence and the regulator's current circulars. Keep claims factual, name the source, and have your compliance head approve each page before publishing.
How do we know SEO is working?
Read the search console for the queries and pages that bring visits, then follow those visits through quote and proposal in your tracking view. The measure is policies issued from search, not visits alone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
