Banks · Outdoor advertising

A hoarding sells one branch, and compliance decides every word on it.

Outdoor advertising for a bank is bought branch by branch, on the roads inside one branch's catchment, for a product that branch can actually process. GullySales picks the sites from where the branch's own accounts come from, keeps the claim inside what your compliance team approves, and routes the calls to the loan desk.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What outdoor advertising means

Outdoor advertising is the hoarding, billboard, bus shelter or digital screen on a road your buyers already use. GullySales picks the sites from where your customers actually come from, coordinates the booking with the media owner, and gives the campaign a traceable route so it is not judged on guesswork.

For banks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The catchment belongs to a branch, not to the bank”

People open an account close to home or to work, so the site list is drawn around one branch address. A panel carrying the bank's name without the road and the branch on it advertises for whichever competitor sits nearer the reader.

  • “A rate on a flex is a compliance question before a design one”

Rates move, disclosures have a size, and a structure stays up for the whole cycle with no way to edit it. Your compliance team rules on the wording, and the artwork is built around the space that ruling takes.

  • “Seasons decide which product goes up”

A rural branch buys the mandi road before sowing, because farmers settle where to apply for credit before the season starts. An MSME facility belongs on the approach to the industrial estate in the weeks the orders land.

  • “No structure ever appears as a lead source”

A hoarding will not show up anywhere in your reporting. One number printed on the sites, answered at the branch, and written on the enquiry register beside the site name, is what connects a disbursal back to a road.

What we do

What we deliver for banks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Site list drawn from the branch's own account addresses

The roads and junctions this branch's new accounts and loan files came from over the last year, and only structures facing traffic moving through that catchment.

Result: Each branch advertises on the roads that feed it.

  2. Product chosen for the road and the season

Kisan credit on the mandi road before sowing, a working capital message near the estate, a home loan on the approach to a new layout.

Result: The panel speaks to the person who actually drives past it.

  3. Wording cleared with compliance before printing

The claim, the treatment of any rate and the disclosure placed in the layout at the size it will print, and signed off by your compliance team before the flex is ordered.

Result: Nothing has to be taken off a road in the middle of a cycle.

  4. Facing, illumination and cycle verified

Which carriageway the site faces, whether the lighting comes on after dark, and the mounting and removal dates written into the booking with the media owner.

Result: The cycle you were invoiced for is the cycle that ran.

  5. A branch line on the panel

A phone and WhatsApp number used on these sites alone, answered inside the branch, logged on the enquiry register against the site it came from.

Result: The loan desk can say which road the file walked in from.

  6. Reading against the branch baseline

Enquiries, account openings and loan files from that catchment reported against the baseline recorded before the cycle began.

Result: You can separate a busy quarter from the effect of the hoarding.

How the result is measured

  • Sites booked
  • Proof of display received
  • Enquiries quoting the campaign route

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it is bought, and approved

A bank buys outdoor branch by branch, and compliance and the civic body clear it before it is printed.

Whose budget pays
Panels are usually booked against one branch's marketing line. Ask the regional office who signs the order, and whether a media agency empanelled by the bank must place it.
Structure licence and building consent
Ask the media owner for the civic body's licence for the structure and the building owner's consent. Rules differ by city and change, so see both papers before you pay.
Compliance sign-off on the artwork
Product names, rate mentions and any line your regulator requires go to compliance before print. Keep the approved file with its sign-off date for audit.
Facing and lighting by branch hours
Pick the face that looks at traffic heading towards the branch. Visit when customers pass, and check the panel is lit for the evening drive home.
Fascia, ATM board and lollipop signs
Your own signs sit under the lease and the local body's signage rules. Check them before spending on a third-party site.
Branch line and the source field
Print a branch number or a QR to the branch page. Add 'where did you see us' to the account and loan enquiry form so the desk can count it.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the outdoor advertising work runs

  1. 1

    Draw the catchment

We agree the roads, junctions and neighbourhoods your buyer moves through. It is almost always a smaller area than an owner first says, and a clinic in Nagarbhavi does not need the whole of west Bengaluru.

  2. 2

    Survey what is available

We work through the sites on offer inside that catchment and go and stand in front of the ones worth looking at.

  3. 3

    Compare and book

Sites are compared on facing, visibility, illumination and cycle length, then booked through the media owner or their agency at a negotiated rate.

  4. 4

    Print to specification

Artwork is made to the exact panel size and delivered ahead of mounting day, with a proof you approve before printing.

  5. 5

    Monitor the cycle

We collect mounting and mid-cycle photographs, and take up anything late, torn or unlit with the media owner while the cycle is still running.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we put a loan rate on a hoarding?
Your compliance team decides, and the display cycle is why it should be asked early. A rate that changes mid-cycle leaves a number on a road you cannot edit, so many branches advertise the product, the branch and the number instead. We design to whatever wording is approved, including the disclosure that has to sit with it.
Which sites suit a branch chasing current accounts?
The roads around the market or the industrial estate that branch already banks, rather than the residential arterial road. A trader passes the same junction twice a day and weighs a bank by whether he has seen its name near his own shop. Start from the addresses on this year's new current accounts.
Is a wall painting at the village market better than a hoarding for a rural branch?
For a rural or semi-urban branch, a painted wall at the weekly market or bus stand often reaches account holders better than a main-road hoarding. Both need the wall owner's written consent and any local body permission. Choose by where your own customers gather.
What happens when the display cycle ends and the flex is still up?
Read the order for what follows the end date: who removes the flex, whether the site is held for you, and who pays. An old rate or offer left up after its cycle is a compliance problem, so note the end date and ask for removal in writing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
