Painters · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a family finds when the walls need painting.

SEO for a painter is the work of making your pages appear when someone searches for painting, putty or waterproofing in their own town. GullySales works on the pages, the wording and the photographs that match what a worried homeowner types.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For painters

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Searchers name the problem, not the trade”

A family with damp patches types the damp, the peeling or the cracks. A page that only says painting services misses them. A page on seepage patches, what is done first and what finish follows meets the search where it starts.

  • “Interior, exterior and texture are different searches”

The person after a textured feature wall is not the person after weatherproof coating for the outer walls. One page for all of it matches none of them. Each job type needs its own page, with its own photographs and its own explanation.

  • “Your area names carry more weight than your trade name”

Nobody searches for a business name they have never heard of. They search for painters in a locality, or near a landmark. Pages that mention the real streets, societies and neighbourhoods you work in read as local and relevant.

  • “A rate page can win or lose the visit”

Most painters publish no price at all, and the few who do publish a number without saying what it includes. A page that explains what a rate per square foot covers earns the click from a reader who has been burned by extras.

What we do

What we deliver for painters.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A job-type page for each kind of work

Separate pages for interior walls, exterior coatings, texture finishes, wood polish and grills, each with a clear explanation and finished photographs.

Result: Each type of job has its own address a searcher can land on.

  2. Pages written around the problem

Pages on damp, peeling, cracks and fading, saying what the painter checks and treats before the first coat.

Result: A worried reader finds an explanation, not a sales line.

  3. A locality section

Pages naming the areas and societies you work in, with finished jobs shown for each.

Result: A searcher in a locality sees that you have worked nearby.

  4. An explained rate page

A page describing what the rate per square foot covers: putty, primer, coats, brand and cleaning.

Result: A customer comparing quotes can see exactly what yours includes.

  5. Titles and photograph names checked

Page titles, headings and image descriptions rewritten in the words searchers use.

Result: Each page title says the job and the town.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these painters.

  • Independent house and flat painters
  • Painting crews led by a contractor with a team of four to ten
  • Interior wall finish specialists for putty, texture and designs
  • Exterior and weatherproof coating painters

  • Shop and showroom repaint teams

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Your brief

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long before the website shows up in search?
We cannot name a time. Search engines decide when to show a page, and it depends on the town and the competition. We build the pages and report what moves.
Do I need a blog?
A blog helps only where it answers a question a customer asks, such as how many coats a wall needs. Write fewer, better pages tied to real jobs.
Will photographs hurt my ranking if they show a home?
They should not show a home at all. We remove addresses and nameplates, and we ask the customer first.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
