Painters · Home services

Be the painter a family rings before Diwali, not the one they find in January.

A family in a ground-floor flat wants the walls redone before the festival. They have three painters' numbers from neighbours, a shade card from the paint shop and a budget in mind, but no idea how many coats, how much putty and how many days.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A handyman explains a cabinet repair to a homeowner

In one paragraph

A painter paints and repairs interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors and grills in homes, shops and small buildings. Marketing puts your name in front of the family or landlord when a repaint falls due, and sales turns a site visit and measurement into an agreed rate and a booked start date. GullySales prepares the scope sheet, the wall gallery and the dealer and landlord introductions.

Each painter comes, glances at the walls, and gives a rate per square foot. The family picks the one who explained what needed doing and what the rate included.

Painters are mostly picked on trust, because the customer cannot judge the work until the crew has left. People worry about patchy finish, spills on the floor, workers who leave halfway, and extra charges for putty or primer that were not mentioned. A painter who writes down the scope, the number of coats and the brand before starting gives the family something to hold the crew to, and something to recommend.

How buyers decide

How painters are chosen.

Home customers start with neighbours, the paint dealer or the interior designer. They invite two or three painters to visit, and compare the rate per square foot, the brand and number of coats, and whether the putty and primer are included. The painter who looks at the damp patches and explains why they need treating first is trusted over one who quotes quickly.

For rented flats and shops, the landlord or owner wants the work done before a new tenant arrives or a festival opens. Speed, a fixed start date and a clean finish with the floors protected are the deciding points.

Paint dealers, brand-run painter programmes and interior designers are the repeat source. A dealer who names the same painter to each walk-in buyer is a source worth a visit and a card.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for painters.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Customers compare our rate per square foot with one that leaves out putty”

A lower figure from another painter wins the job, and the customer discovers the extras later.

  • “Work arrives in a rush before festivals and nothing in the rest of the year”

Crews sit idle for months, so good painters take other work and are not available when the rush starts.

  • “No one can see our finished walls”

Fresh paint looks good only for the family inside, and our only proof is a few photos on a phone.

  • “Paint shops recommend whoever is nearest to the counter”

A dealer sends walk-in buyers to a painter already known at the counter, and we have never introduced ourselves.

  • “Customers argue about days and coats”

Without a written scope, a family claims the second coat was never done and we have no record to show.

  • “Landlords call us once and then switch to a cheaper crew”

We never built a relationship with property owners who repaint several flats a year.

What we do

What we do for painters.

Everything included for painters.

  1. A scope sheet the customer signs

A one-page document listing the walls, the number of coats, the brand and shade, putty and primer, and the start and finish dates.

  2. A gallery of finished walls

Before and after photographs of rooms, exteriors and textures, taken without house numbers, with the finish and brand noted.

  3. A dealer relationship routine

A list of paint and hardware dealers in your area, with a card and a short note on the work you do, so the counter has a name to give.

  4. A landlord and manager offer

A page and short pack for owners who repaint flats between tenants, with a clear rate card format and a way to book several flats at once.

  5. Google Business Profile and WhatsApp catalogue

A listing with areas, job types and photographs, and a WhatsApp catalogue of interior, exterior and texture jobs.

  6. A past customer list

Past customers listed by job date and room, with a drafted message you can send when interiors are due for a repaint.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries from dealers, neighbours and searches counted apart
  • Site visits booked from enquiries
  • Scope sheets signed against rate quotes given
  • Landlord and manager accounts
  • Bookings made before the festival rush
  • Dealers who send you work

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

A written scope listing coats, brand, putty and primer · Before-and-after photographs of walls with no homes identifiable · Google Business Profile with service areas · Relationships with paint dealers and designers · Repaint reminders to past customers · Landlord and property manager accounts · Pre-festival and pre-monsoon campaigns · Reviews that mention a clean finish and the floors protected

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what painters most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Pre-Diwali repaint campaign

Messages, posts and a landing page aimed at families and shops who want walls done before the festival, with the booking cut-off made clear.

  • Pre-monsoon exterior and waterproof coating

A campaign for independent house owners and terrace users about damp, cracks and peeling before the rains.

  • Tenant turnover offer for landlords

A direct note to property owners and managers about quick repaints between tenants, with a standard rate card.

  • New home painting

Ads and a page for people who have just taken possession of a flat and want a first paint job before moving in.

  • Shop and showroom refresh

Outreach to shop owners before festivals and the wedding season about a quick overnight repaint.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of painters, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Paint dealers and hardware shops

A buyer picking a shade card at the counter asks who can do the work.

  • Neighbour and society WhatsApp groups

A named recommendation carries more than any ad.

  • Interior designers

They need a finisher who leaves a clean site.

  • Property managers and landlords

Every change of tenant in a rented flat is a repaint, and the owner wants one crew to call.

  • Google Maps

Where a family looks when no neighbour has passed on a number.

Who it is for

This is written for these painters.

  • Independent house and flat painters
  • Painting crews led by a contractor with a team of four to ten
  • Interior wall finish specialists for putty, texture and designs
  • Exterior and weatherproof coating painters
  • Wood polish, door and grill painters
  • Painters working through a paint brand's programme
  • Rental flat turnover painters for landlords and property managers
  • Shop and showroom repaint teams

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for painters

  1. 1

    Learn how jobs come now

Whether work reaches you through dealers, neighbours or searches, and which months leave the crew idle.

  2. 2

Write the scope and build the gallery

A scope sheet and a set of finished-wall photographs to show buyers.

  3. 3

    Meet the dealers and managers

Introductions to the paint shops and landlords in your area.

  4. 4

Fit campaigns to festivals and rains

Pre-Diwali, pre-monsoon and tenant-turnover messages drafted against the months your crew is idle.

  5. 5

Check which jobs filled the diary

Enquiries, site visits and booked jobs are laid side by side, so a channel that brings only price questions is easy to spot.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions painters ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

I am already listed on a painting app. Why do I need more?
A job through an app sits in the app's customer record, and its terms are the app's own to set. Your own listing, dealer contacts and past customer list bring work that is yours.
Can you help me smooth out the festival rush?
We can encourage early bookings with campaigns, a cut-off date and a reminder list. We cannot change when families decide to paint.
What should I show customers about brands?
Only the brands you actually use, named correctly on the scope sheet. We do not claim a brand partnership you do not have.
How do I deal with price comparisons?
By writing down exactly what your rate includes. When another painter's lower rate leaves out putty or primer, the customer can see the difference.
Will photographs of finished walls identify the home?
We take them so they do not show addresses, family photographs or nameplates, and we ask the customer first.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
