Plumbers · Buyer persona

Know who rings you, from the flat owner mid-leak to the landlord between tenants.

A buyer persona for a plumber is a written picture of the kinds of people who call you, what they are worried about and how they decide. GullySales works with you to build it from your own calls and jobs, not from guesses.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For plumbers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The flat owner in an emergency wants calm”

The buyer is frightened of damage to a floor or a neighbour's ceiling. They choose the voice that sounds sure and gives a visit time, and price is discussed after the water stops.

  • “The landlord wants a record and a clear bill”

An owner of several flats pays for repairs without being present. They need a photograph of the fault, a line-by-line bill and a plumber who does not need supervising.

  • “The committee treasurer compares quotes”

A society buyer answers to residents, so they want references, a written scope and a price that survives scrutiny. Reliability matters, but the paper trail decides.

  • “The renovating household plans for weeks”

A family changing a bathroom asks around, collects two or three estimates and wants the plumber to coordinate with the tiler. They value sense and order over speed.

What we do

What we deliver for plumbers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A one-page sheet for each buyer type

A short description of each kind of caller: what they ask, what worries them and what they need to say yes.

Result: Every buyer type has a written profile.

  2. A call script per persona

Opening questions and replies suited to an emergency caller, a landlord and a committee member.

Result: You answer each caller in the way that suits their worry.

  3. A list of past customers sorted by type

Your existing contacts grouped as households, landlords, societies and small shops.

Result: You see which type has given you the largest share of repeat work.

  4. Messages written for each type

A WhatsApp follow-up for each persona, in the words that group uses.

Result: The landlord and the flat owner receive different notes.

  5. A review of who pays well

A comparison of buyer types against the jobs they brought, to show where to spend your effort.

Result: You know which buyer type is worth chasing.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these plumbers.

  • Independent plumbers working from a two-wheeler and a toolbag
  • Small plumbing teams of three to six with a helper and a van
  • Bathroom and kitchen fitting specialists
  • Leak detection and concealed pipe repair specialists
  • Drain cleaning and blockage clearing services
  • Water heater, pump and tank connection installers
  • Plumbers on maintenance retainers for apartment societies and landlords
  • Plumbers who take jobs through home-service apps and want direct customers

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How do I build a persona without data?
Start with your last twenty or so jobs. Note who called, what they said and what they asked. Patterns appear in your own phone and notebook, which are a better source than a template.
Do I need a persona if I work alone?
Yes, a short one. It guides what you say on the phone and which jobs you chase, and costs only a page.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
