Budget hotels · Local SEO

Appear on the map when someone near the station asks where to sleep tonight.

Local SEO for a budget hotel is how your Google Maps listing is chosen when a traveller searches nearby. GullySales works on the listing details, photographs, reviews and landmark wording that Maps reads.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For budget hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The listing is the front door”

A guest rarely reaches your website first. They see a map pin, a rating, a photograph and a phone icon. If the primary photograph is a dark corridor, the guest swipes past before reading anything else.

  • “Distance words are missing from the description”

A family needs to know the hospital gate is a short walk away. If the listing says only the hotel name and a road, the guest has to guess, and guessing guests choose the hotel that says it.

  • “An old bad review owns the first impression”

One review about a bathroom, left long ago, sits near the top. A calm reply that says what was repaired, and a steady flow of fresh reviews from recent guests, push it down the reader's attention.

  • “The rate on the listing differs from the rate at the desk”

A guest quoted one price online and another at the counter leaves a complaint. The review then hurts the next search, so the rate on every channel has to be one rate.

What we do

What we deliver for budget hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A corrected Business Profile

Name, type fields, address, phone, hours and room attributes checked against the real hotel.

Result: Every field on the listing matches the signboard outside.

  2. A daylight photograph set

Room, bathroom, corridor, entrance and reception photographed in good light, uploaded in order.

Result: The first photographs a guest sees show the room they will get.

  3. Landmark wording in the description

The station, bus stand or hospital named with the walk to it, written in plain words.

Result: The description answers how far, without the guest asking.

  4. A QR code and a review script

A code at the desk linking to the review form, with a polite line for the receptionist to say at checkout.

Result: A guest can leave a review from the counter in a few taps.

  5. Reply wording for complaints

Short, factual replies that say what was done, with no argument and no blame.

Result: Each old complaint has a reply beneath it that a new guest can read.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you remove the bad review?
We cannot delete a review. We can flag one that breaks the platform's rules, and we write a reply that shows what changed. Fresh reviews from real guests do the rest.
Should the listing show rooms by the hour or couples?
State your policy plainly and within your local rules. Check the platform's current rules on what a listing may say. A clear policy prevents arguments at the desk.
We have two hotels on one road. How do the listings differ?
Each needs its own listing with its own phone, photographs and address wording. Mixing them confuses the guest and Maps alike, so we keep them apart.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
