Budget hotels · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the station, hospital and market your guests name, not your hotel name.

SEO for a budget hotel is the work of making your own website appear when a traveller searches for a stay near a place. GullySales works on the pages, the wording and the technical basics so a search for a landmark leads to a page about that landmark and your rooms.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For budget hotels

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Nobody searches for a hotel they have never heard of”

Your hotel name is searched by people who already know it. A new guest searches the station, the hospital or the mandi, and a site built around the hotel name alone is invisible to that search.

  • “One page for the whole hotel answers nothing in particular”

A single home page tries to talk to a pilgrim, a trader and a hospital family together. Search engines and guests both prefer a page that answers one question, such as a stay near one hospital gate.

  • “Booking apps rank above you for your own area”

The big listing sites hold the top results for general hotel searches. A small hotel wins by being more specific than they are, with the walking time, the room photographs and the real rate.

  • “A slow, cracked mobile page loses the traveller”

The guest searches on a phone, often on a weak connection. Heavy photographs and tiny buttons make them go back to the results and choose the next hotel.

What we do

What we deliver for budget hotels.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A landmark page set

One page for each station, bus stand, hospital or market near you, with walking directions and room types.

Result: Each landmark has its own address on your site that you can open and read.

  2. Plain room and rate pages

Pages for each room type with daylight photographs, the occupancy and the rate range stated clearly.

Result: A guest reads the room and the rate without calling to ask.

  3. Mobile page clean-up

Image sizes, button size and call button placement checked on a phone.

Result: Open the site on a basic phone and the call button is visible without scrolling.

  4. Structured hotel details

The hotel name, address, phone and room information marked up so search engines read them the same way every time.

Result: A structured data test tool reads the hotel details without errors.

  5. A search query log

A list of the phrases that brought visitors, read against the landmarks you have pages for.

Result: You see which landmark searches reach you and which have no page yet.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will SEO beat the booking apps?
Not for general searches, and we do not promise rankings. The aim is to be the most specific answer for searches about a place near you, where a small hotel can be found.
Is our Google listing part of SEO?
Yes, and for a budget hotel it matters as much as the website. The listing and the site should state the same name, address, phone and rate, so we treat them together.
Do we need to write a blog?
Not to begin with. Landmark pages and room pages come first. A blog about a hospital visit or exam stay only earns its place when it answers a question a guest actually asks.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
