Farm stays · Search engine optimisation

Be the farm a family finds when they search for a weekend away from the city.

SEO for a farm stay is the work of making your website appear when someone searches for a farm to visit, with pages that match what they actually type. GullySales works on the search phrases, the pages and the proof that a ranking page needs.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For farm stays

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families search by activity and distance, not by farm name”

The search is for a farm stay near a named city, fruit picking for children or a day trip for a school. A homepage that only says welcome to our farm matches none of those phrases.

  • “The best pages are the ones the farm never wrote”

A guest wants to know what happens in the mango season, what a school day looks like and where the property is. Each of those is a page nobody built, so the search lands on a vlogger's blog instead.

  • “Seasonal pages get rebuilt from nothing every year”

The grape page goes quiet after the harvest and returns the next season with no history. A page kept live through the year holds its place when the fruit is ripe again.

  • “Plantation and orchard names mean different things in each state”

What a family calls a farm stay, an agri-tourism stay or a plantation visit changes with the region. Using the wrong word hides the farm from the very guest looking for it.

What we do

What we deliver for farm stays.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A search phrase list from real enquiries

The words guests used in messages and calls, set beside what the search tools show for your region.

Result: Each page you build starts from a phrase a guest typed.

  2. A page for each activity and each season

Fruit picking, milking, the pond, the bonfire and the harvest, each described with photographs and the months it runs.

Result: A search for one activity lands on the page that answers it.

  3. A page for schools and company outings

A group page with the day plan, facilities and a way to ask for a quote, written for the person who books.

Result: Teachers searching for field trips find a page made for them.

  4. Title tags and descriptions written for the click

Every page given a title and summary that name the farm, the place and the activity in plain words.

Result: Your result in the list says what the visit is before anyone clicks.

  5. Photographs named and described for search

Image names and descriptions that say what is in the picture and where, so the farm appears in image search too.

Result: Your photographs carry words a searcher could match.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you promise us the first page of Google?
No. Nobody can promise a position, and anyone who does is selling something else. We work on the pages, the words and the proof, and you read the results in Search Console.
Is a Google Maps listing enough without a website?
A listing gets you into Maps, but a family comparing farms wants activities, rates and safety in one place. A website carries that, and the two together are stronger than either alone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
