Homestays · Digital marketing

Put the whole online side of the house in order, from the map pin to the advance.

Digital marketing for a homestay is every online step between a traveller first hearing of the house and paying an advance, from the listing to the reply to the review. GullySales looks at the whole chain and fixes the weakest link before adding a new one.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For homestays

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Each channel is judged alone and fails together”

A good Instagram feed that leads to a slow WhatsApp reply, or a strong listing with a poor pin, wastes the work done upstream. The guest experiences one chain, and the weakest step is where they leave.

  • “Spending comes before a plan”

Paying for an ad to a listing with weak photographs buys visits that do not turn into stays. The order matters: photographs, profile, replies and booking page first, and only then any paid reach.

  • “The off-season needs its own plan”

A house that fills in December has to think about July. Weekday families, remote workers and rain-season visitors are different guests with different questions, and the online work for them starts well before the quiet months.

  • “The host cannot do all of it”

One family cooking, cleaning and serving cannot also post, reply, write and track. A plan that asks for too much will be dropped by the second week, so the plan is sized to the hours the family really has.

What we do

What we deliver for homestays.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review of the whole guest journey

A walk through what a guest sees from search to booking, with the weak steps marked.

Result: You hold a written list of the steps that lose guests.

  2. A listing alignment across platforms

The Google profile, Airbnb, Booking.com and any website brought to the same photographs, rules and story.

Result: Every listing tells the same true story about the house.

  3. A plan sized to the family

A short plan of the few online jobs the family can keep up, with who does each and when.

Result: The plan fits the hours the family really has.

  4. A direct booking route

A page or message flow where a repeat guest can book and pay the advance without the platform.

Result: A past guest can book without going through an app.

  5. A source record

A sheet showing where each booking came from, so effort moves to what worked.

Result: You can name the source of every confirmed booking.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small homestay start?
With the Google profile, honest photographs and a clear WhatsApp reply. These cost little and are the base for everything else. Ads and bigger projects come afterwards.
Do we still need Airbnb and Booking.com?
They are useful for being found. The aim is to add a direct route for repeat guests, so commission falls over time and not to leave the platforms.
How do we know digital marketing works?
By counting bookings by source against the enquiries. GullySales sets up that record first, so every later change is judged on confirmed dates and not on likes.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
