Homestays · WhatsApp marketing

Turn the chat guests start with into a booking and a repeat visit.

WhatsApp marketing for a homestay is the use of the chat, the status and the broadcast list to answer enquiries, confirm bookings and keep past guests in touch. GullySales works on the business profile, the saved replies and the messages worth sending.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For homestays

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The chat is where the booking happens”

Guests find the house on Google or Airbnb, then move to WhatsApp to ask the real questions. That chat is the shop counter. A cluttered, slow or unclear one loses guests who were already persuaded by the photographs.

  • “A personal number looks like a stranger”

A guest messaging an unnamed number with no photograph hesitates. A business profile with the house name, address pin, hours and a short description tells the guest this is the right place before the first reply.

  • “Broadcasts need a reason to be read”

A message to every past guest on every festival feels like noise. A note about the coffee blossom, sent to guests who came for it before, reads as news. Lists are sorted by what the guest came for and kept short.

  • “Permission is the rule”

Only people who have agreed should be messaged in bulk. A guest added to a list without asking may block the number, and a blocked number damages the one channel the house cannot do without. Ask at checkout and record the yes.

What we do

What we deliver for homestays.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business profile set up properly

The house name, address pin, description, working hours and catalogue of rooms entered and checked.

Result: The profile shows the house as a business a guest can trust.

  2. Quick replies for the common questions

Saved answers for rates, meals, the road, check-in and the advance, shortcuts the host can send in a tap.

Result: Common questions are answered from a saved reply.

  3. Labels for every conversation

Labels such as new enquiry, quote sent, advance pending and confirmed, so the status of each chat is visible.

Result: You can filter the chats by where each guest stands.

  4. A guest list with permission

A list of past guests who have agreed to hear from the house, sorted by why they came.

Result: Every contact on the list has said yes to messages.

  5. A small set of broadcast messages

A few messages for festival weekends, weekday offers and rain-season stays, each with one clear next step.

Result: Each message has a reason, a guest group and a next step.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we use WhatsApp status to promote?
Yes. Status updates with photographs of the house, a meal or the season reach contacts who have saved the number. Keep them genuine and few, and check the platform's current rules.
Is it fine to message past guests in bulk?
Only guests who agreed to hear from you, and only with something relevant. Check the platform's current rules on business messaging before sending to a list.
Should we use the API for bigger sending?
A small homestay rarely needs it. The business app with labels and quick replies is enough. A larger group of properties may choose the API later, with an approved provider.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
