Hotel booking agencies · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a company searches for rooms for a group in your city.

SEO for a hotel booking agency is the work of making your city, group and corporate pages appear when a buyer searches for rooms in a destination. The buyer is an admin head or planner who does not know your name. GullySales works on the pages, wording and structure that let search engines match your agency to those searches.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For hotel booking agencies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The buyer searches by city and occasion”

A planner types the destination with words such as conference, dealer meet or wedding guests. A single page titled "hotel booking" matches none of these, while a page for each city and occasion matches the way the buyer actually searches.

  • “Hotel portals own the single-room search”

A search for one room in a city is filled with the large booking portals and the hotels' own sites. Competing there wastes effort, so the pages need to target group, corporate and block searches where an agency has a real answer.

  • “Thin pages repeat each other”

Ten city pages with the same paragraph and a different city name read as one page to a search engine. Each page needs the hotels you really work with, the groups you have handled and terms specific to that city.

  • “Rates cannot sit in the page as they change”

A published group rate goes out of date and then misleads the buyer. The page should describe who gets a group rate and how to ask, and leave the figure for the written quote.

What we do

What we deliver for hotel booking agencies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A keyword map by city and occasion

A sheet matching each city you book to the group types you serve, so every page has one search purpose.

Result: Each page has a clear search it is meant to answer.

  2. City and group pages rewritten for search

Titles, headings and body text for the cities, conferences, weddings and corporate stays you handle, using your real hotel partners.

Result: Pages describe real hotels and terms rather than copying each other.

  3. Page structure for enquiries

A clear route from each page to a dates-and-headcount form, with no rate figures that expire.

Result: A reader reaching a page can send the facts you need.

  4. A technical check of the site

A review of page speed on a phone, broken links, duplicate titles and pages that search engines cannot reach.

Result: You get a written list of faults and which have been fixed.

  5. A search report you can read

The searches that brought visitors, the pages they landed on and the enquiries that followed, set out plainly.

Result: You can see which pages bring buyers and which need work.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can an agency outrank the hotel's own website?
Not for the hotel's name, and we do not aim to. The target is group, corporate and city-plus-occasion searches, where buyers want an agent who arranges a block of rooms with one contact.
How long before SEO brings enquiries?
We cannot state a time, because it depends on the site's present state and the competition in each city. We can show you which pages were built and which searches they are meant to answer.
Do we need a page for every hotel?
Not at first. Start with the cities and group types that earn you the largest share, then add hotel pages where you have a real relationship and real information to write.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
