Tourist guide services · Local SEO

Win the map result for the traveller standing near the fort gate.

Local SEO for a tourist guide is the work of showing up on Google Maps when a visitor near a site searches for a guide. GullySales works on the profile, the meeting point and the review flow behind that result.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For tourist guide services

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The searcher may already be at the site”

A visitor stands outside the palace and types guide near me. Distance, opening hours and recent reviews decide the three results, and a profile showing a clear meeting point beats a name with nothing but a phone number.

  • “A guide has no shop, so the pin matters”

Some guides work from home or from a ticket counter. Whether to show an address, a service area or a meeting point depends on Google's current rules for businesses that visit customers, so check the platform's current rules before setting it.

  • “Reviews carry more weight than the rating alone”

A traveller reads the latest few reviews for the language, the pace and the way the guide handled children or elders. A review that names the site and the style of the tour helps the next visitor decide faster than another bare star.

  • “Several guides at one site share a crowded result”

At a popular fort, a dozen listings compete in the same map area. The profile that has accurate hours, languages, real photographs and answered questions stands out from names that filled in only the basics.

What we do

What we deliver for tourist guide services.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google Business Profile

Name, hours, languages, services, the sites you cover and photographs from real tours, filled in and checked against the platform's current rules.

Result: A traveller sees what you offer without leaving the listing.

  2. A meeting point that can be found

The gate, the pin and a short description of how to spot you, written for a visitor who has never been there.

Result: A visitor reaches the meeting point without calling you.

  3. Services listed by walk

Each walk entered as a service with its own description, so a search for a food trail or a sunrise walk can match.

Result: The listing names every walk you lead.

  4. A review request given at the end of the tour

A message with the review link, sent while the guest is still at the site, in English or the guest's language.

Result: Recent reviews come from guests who took the tour.

  5. Answers to the questions travellers ask

Questions about fees, language, duration and accessibility answered on the profile, and every review replied to.

Result: The profile answers a question before the traveller has to ask it.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We work at several sites. Do we need several profiles?
Not always. Google's rules for service businesses decide this, so check the platform's current rules. We map the sites you cover and decide with you how to show them without breaking the listing.
Can we show our home address?
You can choose to hide it if you serve customers at their location or at a meeting point. Check the platform's current rules, and use the meeting point as the place travellers are told to go.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
