Wedding caterers · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a family searches near the hall they have just booked.

Local SEO for a wedding caterer is the work on your Google Business Profile and local listings so the map shows you for searches in your city and near its halls. GullySales works on the profile, the service area and the review flow behind that listing.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For wedding caterers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The service area is the halls you will really travel to”

A caterer who lists the whole state is read as a caterer who serves none of it well. The profile should name the cities and the venue clusters you can staff and reach, with a boundary that matches the vehicles and the cooks.

  • “A caterer's profile is read like a portfolio”

The family opens photographs before reading words. Buffet lines, live counters, banana-leaf service and the serving team on a real function tell them more than a studio shot of one dish. Photographs from the kitchen show a working operation.

  • “Reviews from weddings take days to arrive”

A function ends late and the family is tired. A review request made at the wrong moment is ignored. The workable moment is after the family has settled and the photographs are shared, when they are glad to say something kind.

  • “The phone number on the profile is answered by someone who knows the calendar”

Families call from the map. If the number rings out or reaches a cook with no calendar, the next listing gets the call. The number needs a person who can name a free date.

What we do

What we deliver for wedding caterers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Google Business Profile built for catering

Primary type, description, services, service area and hours set so the profile describes wedding catering and not a restaurant.

Result: The profile reads as a caterer to a family and to the map.

  2. A photograph plan from real functions

A list of shots to take at each function, from the kitchen to the buffet, with the family's permission before any is posted.

Result: A gallery that shows the work, built from functions where the family agreed.

  3. A review request routine

A message, with the profile link, sent once the family has settled after the function, and a reply written to each review.

Result: Each recent function has a request recorded against it.

  4. Consistent name and address across listings

The same name, address and phone on the profile, directories, the website and wedding portals.

Result: One version of your details everywhere a family might look.

  5. Questions and answers on the profile

The questions families ask first, such as minimum plates, travel beyond the city and tasting arrangements, answered on the profile.

Result: The first three questions are answered before the call.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these wedding caterers.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should the profile list every city we have ever cooked in?
No. List the areas you can serve well with your kitchen and vehicles. A broad list weakens the profile where you are strongest, and a family can see you are stretched.
A hall manager recommended us. Can we ask the family to mention that?
Ask for an honest review of the food and service. Do not script what is written or offer anything in return. Advertising rules for food businesses differ, so check with your own adviser, and check the platform's current rules.
We cook from a central kitchen with no visitors. Do we still need a profile?
Yes. A family can still find you, ask for a tasting and see photographs. If visitors are not received, say so in the description and give the tasting arrangement in its place.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
