Wedding caterers · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a family types the community, the city and the word catering together.

SEO for a wedding caterer is the work of making your site and menu pages answer the searches families make while a date is being fixed. GullySales works on the pages, the dish names and the structure behind those searches.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For wedding caterers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families search in the words of their own community”

A Gujarati family looks for a Gujarati wedding menu and a Tamil family for banana-leaf catering. A single page headed wedding catering matches neither. A page per cuisine, written in the names used at home, is the one that gets found.

  • “The hall name is part of the search”

Families type the venue with the word catering. A caterer with a page about functions at a named hall, covering staffing, kitchen access and timing, appears for a search that a general page never meets.

  • “A menu locked in a PDF cannot be read by a search engine”

Some caterers publish the menu as a photograph or a file sent on WhatsApp. The dishes then do not exist for search. Menu text on the page, grouped by function, gives every dish a chance to be matched.

  • “Season changes what is searched”

Interest in engagement dinners, muhurtham lunches and receptions rises and falls with auspicious periods. Pages that are ready before the period begin are indexed in time; pages written during it arrive late.

What we do

What we deliver for wedding caterers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each community cuisine

One page per menu you cook well, with dish names in the community's usual spelling, serving style and photographs of the real food.

Result: A family searching in its own words reaches a page written in them.

  2. Venue pages for halls you work in

A page for each hall or lawn where you have cooked, covering access, kitchen set-up and the functions held there.

Result: Hall names appear on pages that answer a venue-based search.

  3. Menu text on the page

Menus rebuilt as readable text by function, with the plate rate range and what is extra, instead of an image.

Result: Every dish is readable text a searcher can match.

  4. Title and heading clean-up

Titles, headings and descriptions rewritten so each page names the service, the cuisine and the city.

Result: Each page has its own plain title and heading.

  5. A season calendar for pages

A plan that places new and updated pages ahead of the auspicious periods when families begin to search.

Result: Pages are live before the dates they are meant to serve.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need our own website, or is a portal listing enough?
A portal listing is rented ground; the portal owns the page and the comparison. A site of your own holds your menus and hall pages and can be found directly. Some caterers keep both and watch which brings tastings.
Why do we not show up for our own city?
Competitors may have pages for the cuisine and the venue, and yours may not. Search engines match pages to searches. Check which pages exist for the city, the cuisine and the halls you serve, and fill the gaps.
Can GullySales promise a ranking?
No. GullySales cannot promise a ranking or a number of visitors. We work on the pages and structure; where the pages sit depends on competitors, your content and the search engine's current rules.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
