Steel traders · Social media

Use social posts to show stock, processing and deliveries that buyers can trust.

Social media for a steel trader means short posts that show real stock, cutting work and loaded lorries to the buyers who follow the yard. The audience is a trade audience, so a clear photo of a stack with the section and mill beats a slogan. GullySales works on what to post, in what format, and how a post leads to an enquiry.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Steel mills: show a real physical business scene illustrating Enquiries, quotations and orders. Log each enquiry by grade, section and tonnage, quote from your own price list, and commit orders only to dispatch slots the mill can meet.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For steel traders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A stack of bars is a better post than a greeting card”

Festival greetings fill a feed and sell nothing. A photo of fresh TMT stock with the mill, the size and the contact tells a contractor you hold what they need. Greetings can go out, but stock posts carry the work.

  • “Show the cutting and the weighment”

Workshops worry about cut lengths and about lorry weights. A short clip of the cutting line or the weighbridge answers those worries before the buyer asks. Always check that no buyer's name or vehicle is visible without their agreement.

  • “The audience sits on a few platforms”

Fabricators and shop owners use WhatsApp and video platforms far more than long professional feeds. Pick one or two platforms the buyers use, and post there on a rhythm you can keep.

  • “Every post needs a next step”

A post that ends with nothing leaves the buyer to search for the number. End with the section, the town and one way to reach the yard, so a watching buyer can act.

What we do

What we deliver for steel traders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A post plan built from your stock

A set of post ideas drawn from what the yard holds, what moved and what the sales team is asked about.

Result: The team has a list of posts to draw from, tied to real stock.

  2. A photo and clip brief

Instructions for photographing stacks, cutting and loading so the section and mill are readable.

Result: Photos show the section, size and mill clearly.

  3. A post layout

One layout for stock posts, with section, grade, mill, town and contact in fixed positions.

Result: Every stock post looks the same and carries the same facts.

  4. A comment and message routine

Who answers comments and direct messages, and how a question becomes an enquiry in the register.

Result: Every question has an owner and lands in the register.

  5. A permissions note

A short rule for when a buyer or vehicle may appear in a post.

Result: The team knows what needs a buyer's agreement before posting.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these steel traders.

  • Fabricators and engineering workshops
  • Builders and contractors buying TMT bars and structural sections
  • PEB and structural steel companies
  • Re-rollers and small manufacturers who buy coils and billets
  • Pipe and tube users in water, plumbing and agriculture projects
  • Vehicle body builders and trailer makers
  • Machine shops that buy plates and rounds
  • Retail steel shops in towns that restock from your stockyard

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will social posts bring orders?
Posts can bring enquiries from buyers who follow the yard, but nobody can promise orders. GullySales works on making each post carry stock details and a clear way to reach you, then on logging what comes in.
Should the owner or the yard handle posting?
Whoever handles it needs access to stock and to the sales team. Photos come from the yard floor and answers from sales, so the owner sets the rule and a staff member carries it out.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
