Textile wholesalers · Social media

Let buyers see how your cloth falls, moves and takes colour before they ask for a swatch.

Social media marketing for a textile wholesaler is the use of short videos and photographs to show fabric to boutiques, designers and tailors who watch Instagram and WhatsApp status. Cloth is judged by touch and drape, and video gets closest to both. GullySales plans the posts and routes the responses into your register.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For textile wholesalers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A flat photograph hides the drape”

Georgette, rayon and silk read very differently in motion than on a table. A short clip of the cloth held up, folded and swirled tells a boutique owner more than a catalogue shot. The clip also shows the true colour in daylight.

  • “Designers follow wholesalers who show new arrivals”

A designer looking for the next collection follows counters that post fresh stock. A counter that posts nothing between seasons falls off that list. A steady record of arrivals keeps you where the designer looks.

  • “A comment is not an order”

Buyers comment 'rate?' and expect the answer in a message. A post that draws forty comments and no reply is a wasted post. Each comment needs a person who moves it to WhatsApp and logs it.

  • “Colour on screen differs from colour in hand”

A buyer who orders on a phone image and receives a different shade blames the wholesaler. Posts that say the screen shade is a guide and offer a swatch protect the next order.

What we do

What we deliver for textile wholesalers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Fabric video shot list

A list of simple clips for each fabric family: hold-up, drape, fold, close-up of weave and colour in daylight.

Result: Your team can film a new arrival in the same way each time.

  2. Platform plan for the trade

A decision on where to post for boutiques, designers and garment units, and what each place is for.

Result: Each platform has a stated job and an owner on your team.

  3. Post calendar tied to the stitching season

A calendar that places festive, wedding, school and winter fabrics ahead of the season each serves.

Result: Posts arrive before the buyer starts planning, not after.

  4. Comment-to-WhatsApp routine

A rule for how a comment or message moves to a chat and then into the register.

Result: Each enquiry from a post has a name and a source recorded.

  5. Swatch call to action

Standard wording on every post offering a swatch card and saying how to ask for one.

Result: Each post gives the viewer a next step.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these textile wholesalers.

  • Garment manufacturers and stitching units that buy by the roll
  • Boutiques and designers who buy small lots in many colours
  • Tailors and tailoring shops in towns and city markets
  • Saree and dress-material retailers
  • Uniform makers who supply schools and companies
  • Home furnishing makers who need curtain and upholstery cloth
  • Export houses and merchandisers who buy for orders
  • Agents and brokers who place orders for several buyers

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is Instagram or WhatsApp status better for a wholesaler?
They do different jobs. Instagram introduces your cloth to boutiques and designers you do not know. Status reaches buyers who already have your number. We plan both, with the register showing which one brings the swatch requests.
Do we have to show people wearing the fabric?
No. Cloth held up and draped on a mannequin or a table shows the fabric well. If you use a model or a stitched sample, get their agreement first and keep the focus on the fabric.
Should we post rates?
Post them only if your counter is willing to honour them for a stated period. Rates move, and a stale rate on a post invites argument. Some wholesalers post the quality and ask the buyer to message for the rate.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
