B2B wholesale marketplaces · Digital marketing

Plan search, messaging, ads and the field team as one launch, city by city.

Digital marketing for a B2B wholesale marketplace is the combined use of search, messaging, social media, paid ads and email to reach sellers and business buyers. GullySales plans the channels around one city and a few product groups at a time, and reads results from your own orders.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For B2B wholesale marketplaces

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Spreading effort across every city thins both sides”

Ads spread over several cities bring registrations where no seller delivers. The buyer finds nothing, and the platform pays for an install with no order. A single city with listed stock gives a fair test of which channel works.

  • “Cost per install is the wrong number to watch”

An install is cheap to buy and worth little. What matters is the cost to bring a buyer to a first order, and to a second one. Reporting that stops at installs hides the real cost.

  • “Online and field work belong in one plan”

A shop owner may see a message, meet a field agent and place an order a day later. If the digital team and the field team keep separate records, nobody knows which effort worked. One register and one source field joins them.

  • “Seller marketing and buyer marketing compete for the same budget”

Money spent on seller recruitment without buyers, or on buyer ads without sellers, stalls the platform. The plan sets which side is thin in each city and puts the spend there first.

What we do

What we deliver for B2B wholesale marketplaces.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A city launch plan

A single-page plan for one city: product groups, seller targets, field beats, search, messaging and paid ads, with an owner for each part.

Result: The founders can read what is being tried in the city and by whom.

  2. A channel and audience map

Which channel reaches sellers, which reaches shop owners and which reaches purchase managers, with the message for each.

Result: Each channel has a stated audience and goal.

  3. A tracking set-up from click to order

Source tags on links, forms and calls so that each order can be traced to the effort that brought the buyer.

Result: You can filter orders by the channel that brought the buyer.

  4. A paid advertising test plan

A small test for one product group and one city, with the landing page, the audience and the stop rule written down.

Result: The test has a written stopping point before money is spent.

  5. A two-sided performance sheet

Sellers live, buyers ordering, repeat orders and cost to first order, side by side for each city.

Result: The thinner side of each city is visible at a glance.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Aim each channel at one side in one city.

wholesale supplier of this product in this city
A city and product group page plus a profile, so a shop owner nearby finds you for that item.
list products for wholesale buyers online
A seller page on listing, fees and settlement, placed where wholesalers compare platforms.
app for shop owners to order from wholesalers
A buyer page and a short registration path for kirana owners, with a field agent to help the first order.
factory supplies marketplace
A page for purchase desks with specification fields, supplier histories and the invoice process.
how marketplace settlement works
A page on payments and returns for sellers, since this is the question that decides a listing.

Who it is for

This is written for these B2B wholesale marketplaces.

  • General merchandise and FMCG marketplaces serving kirana and retail stores
  • Industrial supplies and MRO marketplaces for factory buyers
  • Textile and garment marketplaces linking mills, wholesalers and boutiques
  • Agri input and produce marketplaces for traders and processors
  • Building material and hardware marketplaces for contractors and dealers
  • Pharmacy and medical supply platforms for licensed retailers
  • Electronics and mobile accessory marketplaces for shop owners
  • Niche category platforms such as packaging, stationery or hospitality supplies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not yet chosen the cities where both sellers and buyers exist, so spend would be spread thin on both sides.
  • Your field team and your online team plan separately, so a lead from one channel would be called by the other without knowing.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which channel should we start with?
The one that reaches the thinner side in your launch city. If sellers are few, direct outreach to wholesalers. If buyers are few, field visits and messaging. Search and ads follow once the pages and stock are ready.
Can you promise orders from digital marketing?
No. Orders depend on your range, rates, delivery and the market, and we do not promise any number. We plan the channels and the tracking, so you can see what brought buyers and decide where to spend.
How much should we spend on ads?
That is your decision, and we do not suggest a figure here. Start with a small test on a single city and product group, set a stopping rule, and read the cost to a first order before putting in more.
Why is cost per install the wrong number to watch?
An install tells you a phone has the app, not that a shop will order. Watch the share of registered buyers who place a first order and a reorder, by city. That shows whether the channel finds shops that trade on the platform.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
