Electrical equipment distributors · Digital marketing

Choose the digital channels that bring BOQs and drop the ones that do not.

Digital marketing for an electrical distributor is the choice and combination of search, listings, messaging and social channels that bring BOQs to the counter. GullySales works out which channels suit contractors, projects and sub-dealers, and tracks what each produces.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For electrical equipment distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Every channel claims to work”

A marketing vendor will recommend what it sells. Without a record of where BOQs came from, you cannot tell a channel that works from one that only looks busy.

  • “Contractors and project buyers use different doors”

A local contractor uses a map search and WhatsApp. A purchase manager in another city uses a brand search and email. One plan for both serves neither well.

  • “Paid adverts need a landing page that quotes”

Spending on adverts that lead to a home page wastes the click. The visitor should land on a page for the brand or product with a clear way to send a BOQ.

  • “Marketplace leads come with a cost of their own”

Enquiries from trade platforms are mixed in quality. They are worth keeping only if you answer them promptly and record their outcome against the cost.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical equipment distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel review

Your current channels listed with the enquiries and orders each produced.

Result: You see what each channel has brought in so far.

  2. A plan by buyer type

A short plan that matches contractors, panel builders, project buyers and sub-dealers to their channels.

Result: Each buyer type has a named way to reach it.

  3. Landing pages for chosen channels

Pages for brands and product families that carry a BOQ request form and a phone number.

Result: Paid and unpaid visitors arrive on a page that asks for a BOQ.

  4. An enquiry source record

Each enquiry tagged with its channel, from first contact to order.

Result: Orders can be traced to a channel.

  5. A spend and result sheet

What you spent on each channel against the orders it produced.

Result: You can see which spend to continue.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Each channel earns a place only if it brings a BOQ or a call from a buyer.

Authorised dealer search by brand and city
Answer with a search campaign pointing to the brand page, a phone number and a quote form. Brand name searches carry buyers who already decided.
LED project lighting supplier for builders
Answer with a project page showing ranges and datasheets held, aimed at builders and consultants, with a contact for bulk quotes.
Electrical items for a new housing project
Answer with outreach to builders and a landing page that explains how a project account works, including delivery in stages and credit rules.
Marketplace enquiry for bulk electrical goods
Answer with a response routine for marketplace leads and a record of what each source costs, since an unanswered enquiry is money already spent.
Contractor referral by word of mouth
Answer with a short, genuine prompt to loyal contractors to introduce others, and a log of who referred whom. Do not offer payment for it.

Who it is for

This is written for these electrical equipment distributors.

  • Cable and wire distributors for building and industry
  • Switchgear, MCB and distribution board dealers
  • Motor, drive and automation component distributors
  • Lighting and LED project suppliers
  • Solar inverter, panel and BOS component distributors
  • Transformer, UPS and power equipment channel partners
  • Panel builders' component suppliers
  • Multi-brand electrical wholesalers supplying sub-dealers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no enquiry source record, so spend on any channel would give no way to tell what it brought.
  • Your stock or credit cannot take on new accounts right now, so more reach would only produce orders you decline.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small distributor start?
With the profile, WhatsApp and a brand-page set that shows your authorisations. Add other channels once the record shows what works.
Do we need an agency or can staff do it?
Some tasks suit staff, such as profile updates and replies. We split the work with you so that your people hold what they can and we take the parts needing specialist time.
What do we drop first if results are thin?
Drop the channel that brings calls but no BOQs after a fair try with a proper landing page. Your own record decides, not the channel's report. Keep what produces quotes that become orders, and reconsider the rest when your stock or brands change.
Do we need an agency or can staff run it?
Staff can run the profile, the replies and the log if one person owns them. An outside team helps most with the site, the campaign set-up and the reading of results. Decide who answers enquiries first, since the best campaign fails at an unattended counter.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
