Self-storage and storage facilities · Local SEO

Show up when someone near you types storage, and be open when they call.

Local SEO for a storage facility means appearing in the map results when someone searches near your branch, with the right pin, hours, photographs and reviews. GullySales sets up and maintains each branch's profile, listings and reviews, so a nearby searcher finds a facility that answers.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For self-storage and storage facilities

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A wrong pin or hour costs a customer on the day”

A person who arrives to a locked gate or the wrong road does not come back.

  • “Competitors two roads away outrank you on proximity”

Google weighs distance to the searcher heavily, so the next move is relevance, a complete profile and reviews.

  • “Branches share one name and confuse everyone”

An operator with three branches that have similar names, one phone and mixed-up photographs makes each of them weaker.

What we do

What we deliver for self-storage and storage facilities.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified and complete profile for each branch

Correct pin, name that matches the signboard, categories, hours that are staffed, services and photographs of the entrance, the corridors and units.

Result: A searcher sees a real place that is open.

  2. A name, address and phone record

One agreed version of each branch's details, used on your site, the profile and every listing.

Result: The details agree wherever a person finds them.

  3. A listings clean-up

Duplicates and old addresses found on Google, JustDial and similar sites, claimed or corrected, with those you cannot control noted.

Result: The wrong details stop sending people away.

  4. Photographs that show what a visitor will see

The gate, the reception, the corridor, a typical unit and the loading area, taken in daylight and added on a plan.

Result: A nervous first-time tenant sees what they would be walking into.

  5. Posts and Q&A kept current

Answers to the questions people ask on the profile, posts for seasonal offers and a check on questions posted by others.

Result: The profile answers instead of leaving questions open.

  6. A report on calls, directions and visits

Calls, direction requests and website clicks from each profile, with enquiries tagged by branch, against the baseline.

Result: You see which branch the map is filling.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

What Google weighs for a storage facility search, and the Indian listings that matter beside it.

Relevance: category and services
Choose the main category that describes the facility, add the services you offer and list unit types. Do not stuff the name with keywords, because Google may refuse the edit.
Distance from the searcher
You cannot move your building. Make sure the pin is exact, the address matches the signboard and the profile covers the localities you serve on your site's pages.
Prominence: reviews and mentions
Recent, answered reviews and consistent mentions elsewhere help. Ask happy tenants within Google's current rules and reply to all of them. Never pay for reviews or filter who may leave one.
JustDial, Sulekha and other directories
Claim and correct your listing where tenants actually look, with the same name, address and phone. Ignore directories that ask money to remove duplicates. Check each one against your master record.
Hours that are actually staffed
Show the hours someone answers, and mark special hours for festivals. A listing that says open while the gate is closed is the quickest way to a one-star review.
Photographs and a completed profile
Add the entrance, the unit corridor, a typical unit and the loading bay. Visitors look at photographs before they call, and a profile with none looks abandoned.

Who it is for

This is written for these self-storage and storage facilities.

  • Household self-storage units near apartment clusters
  • Business storage for online sellers and traders
  • Document and records storage
  • Warehouse-style storage let by the pallet or the bay
  • Student and PG storage near colleges and hostels
  • Furniture and relocation storage tied to packers and movers
  • Operators running several branches across a city
  • Landowners and building owners converting space into units

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The gate is locked at times the listing says are open, so a better ranking would send more people to a closed door.
  • Your branches have no agreed names or addresses yet, so profiles would multiply and contradict each other.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is a storage facility a visitable address or a service-area business?
If customers come to the site to load and collect, it is a visitable address and the profile should show the exact location and staffed hours. Delivery or pick-up services can be listed as additional services. Read Google's current guidelines before choosing.
We share a building with a warehouse. Can we still have a profile?
Usually yes, if the address and the entrance used by storage customers are clear and the signage matches. Add photographs of the storage entrance and note the access hours, and make sure the name on the profile matches the sign.
Can each branch have its own profile?
Yes, each with its own address, phone number, hours and photographs, and each should have its own page on your website. Do not use one phone number or one set of photographs for all of them.
A rival has listed a fake branch near us. What do we do?
Report it through Google's tools with evidence, such as a photograph of the empty site. The process is slow and its result is not in your control, so keep your own profile accurate and the reviews coming.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
