CNC turning companies · Buyer persona

Write down who reads the drawing, who approves the vendor and who signs.

A buyer persona for a CNC turning company describes the people inside a customer who send the drawing, check the lot and approve the vendor, since each looks for something different. GullySales builds one persona for each priority part family from your quotes and rejection notes.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For CNC turning companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The purchase executive compares rate and reply”

This person holds the enquiry, collects the quotes and reports a price. A same-day technical reply and a clear note on how long a bar rate holds matter more to them than a long capability list.

  • “The quality engineer judges the first lot”

The quality engineer checks the diameter on a go and no-go gauge, reads the dimensional report and decides whether the shop is approved. Their card covers the report format, the certificates and how a rejection is answered.

  • “The design engineer asks if the tolerance can be held”

A drawing is written by someone who may not know the limits of a lathe shop. A question on tolerance stack-up or thread class opens a technical conversation, and the card records the language that suits it.

  • “The owner of a small buyer decides alone”

At a small machine builder or fitting maker, one owner reads the drawing, approves the rate and signs the order. That card is shorter, cares about the delivery date and a phone that is answered, and distrusts a long form.

What we do

What we deliver for CNC turning companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A persona for each part family

One card for brass fittings, one for auto shafts, one for Swiss-type parts, each built from the quotes and orders in that family.

Result: Messages go to the buyer who actually buys that part.

  2. A purchase executive card

What this person asks, what they report upward and what makes them close a quote or reopen one.

Result: The first reply answers what the executive needs to report.

  3. A quality engineer card

The report layout, certificates and gauge checks this person expects, and how they read a rejection.

Result: The sample report pack matches how their quality team works.

  4. A decision map for each key account

A note of who sends the drawing, who approves the vendor, who pays and who answers a rejection.

Result: You know whom to call at each stage.

  5. A lost-quote review

The reasons given or guessed for each quote that did not become a trial lot, used to correct the cards.

Result: Each card is revised from what the shop learned.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

  • Job-work lathe shops serving other machining units

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we build a persona without surveys?
Use the quote tracker and the email threads. Note who sent each drawing, who asked the technical questions and who answered the rejection. Add what you hear on the next call. A survey is not needed to start.
Is a persona different for export buyers?
Yes. An overseas buyer or trader reads in the units and standards of their market and cares about documents, packing and the shipping method. Keep a separate card and fill it from the export enquiries you have actually received.
When do we change a card?
When a lost quote or a rejection shows the card was wrong. Treat each card as a draft the shop corrects after every trial lot, instead of a finished document filed away.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
