Manufacturers' associations · WhatsApp marketing

Use the group the members already read to carry circulars, buyer news and event notices.

WhatsApp marketing for a manufacturers' association means using broadcast lists, groups and a business number to reach members and buyers. GullySales works on how the office sets these up so that notices are read and a buyer's message gets a reply.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For manufacturers' associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The member group is a stream of forwards”

A circular about a shutdown sits between good-morning images and unrelated videos. Owners mute the group, and the one message about a vendor day passes unread.

  • “Personal numbers carry association business”

The secretary answers buyers from a personal account. When the secretary changes, the chat history and the number go along with them.

  • “A buyer's message waits overnight”

A purchase head sends a late-evening note asking for a casting vendor. No one sees it until the next afternoon, and by then the buyer has asked elsewhere.

  • “Members add contacts without consent”

A well-meaning member adds a long list of buyers to the group, who then receive circulars they never asked for. Some leave, and some report the number to the platform.

What we do

What we deliver for manufacturers' associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A business number set-up

A WhatsApp Business account in the association's name, with a profile, a greeting and quick replies for common questions.

Result: A buyer who writes in sees the association's name and a greeting.

  2. Separate lists

One list for notices to members, one for buyers who asked to hear about vendor days, and one for sponsors.

Result: Each list has a clear purpose and a rule on who may be added.

  3. A consent step

A short opt-in message and a record of who agreed, so messages go only to people who asked.

Result: A column showing the date each contact agreed to receive messages.

  4. Message templates

Short, plain templates for a circular, a vendor day invitation and a renewal reminder.

Result: The coordinator can send a clean notice without drafting afresh.

  5. Reply cover

A rule for who watches the business number and how a message is passed to the right member.

Result: A named person is responsible for every message the number receives.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is it allowed to message members in bulk?
The platform has rules on business messaging and consent, and they change. Check the platform's current rules before sending, and use only contacts who agreed.
Should the group stay open to all members?
A notice list works better when only the office posts. Members can keep a separate discussion group if they wish.
Can we use WhatsApp for sponsors?
Yes, for people who agreed to hear from you. A formal prospectus still goes by email, with WhatsApp used for a short note and a call.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
