Sports associations · Local SEO

Make the ground, the court and the office easy to find on the map a parent opens.

Local SEO for a sports association is the work of making the office, the ground and the trial venue appear correctly on maps when a parent or player searches nearby. GullySales works on the listings, the directions and the reviews behind those results.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For sports associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Players arrive at the wrong gate”

A stadium has a main entrance, a pavilion gate and a back lane to the nets. A map pin dropped on the road outside sends a team to the wrong side on match day, and the first half is lost looking for the right gate.

  • “The office and the ground are different places”

The secretary sits in a rented room across town while matches are played at a school ground. One listing for both confuses the visitor; each address needs its own listing, name and purpose.

  • “Neighbourhood searches are the real search”

Parents search for the sport near their own locality, not for the district. The listing and the page need the local area names that families actually use for the ground and the surrounding roads.

  • “Reviews describe the ground, not the association”

A visitor writes about parking, drinking water and toilets. Those comments shape whether a new family stays, so the listing needs replies from someone who can fix what is mentioned.

What we do

What we deliver for sports associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A listing for the office and one for each ground

Separate map profiles with their own address, hours and phone line.

Result: A parent sees the right address for the right purpose.

  2. Pins placed at the correct gate

The map pin and the written directions set to the gate used on match day, with a landmark.

Result: Teams stop phoning the secretary for directions.

  3. Photographs of the venue

Exterior, gate, pitch or court, changing rooms and parking, with no children photographed without written parental consent.

Result: A new family sees the ground before arriving.

  4. Opening hours for trial and match days

Special hours set for days the ground is used, and for days it is closed.

Result: The listing is correct on the day it matters.

  5. Replies to venue reviews

A short written reply to each comment about facilities, passed to whoever maintains the ground.

Result: Visitors see that the complaint reached someone.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We hire grounds from the municipality. Can we list them?
List the ground with the name the public knows it by, and mention that it is hired for the association's fixtures. Check the platform's current rules on listing places you do not own.
Should every club get its own map listing?
Each club that has its own address and opens to the public can. Clubs that meet at a shared ground are better named on the ground's listing and the association's club page.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
