Advertising film studios · Lead generation

Get onto the short list before the agency has picked the houses to bid.

Getting leads, for an ad film studio, means being on the list an agency producer builds the day a brief lands and being found by brand teams that have no agency. GullySales works on the introductions, the roster links and the brief form that put your studio into that conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For advertising film studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The short list is drawn before the phone rings”

By the time a producer calls a house, the creative team has already named directors whose style suits the idea. A studio nobody remembers is not asked. Lead generation here means being known by name inside the right agencies ahead of the brief, not scrambling to introduce yourself after it.

  • “Agency leads are people, not forms”

The person who decides is a named producer or creative head in a particular agency in a particular city. A mass mailer to every agency reaches nobody. A list by city, with a note on the last film each person commissioned, gives an introduction a reason to be read.

  • “Direct brands search with a problem in mind”

A founder without an agency types a phrase about a product film or a brand film and compares what appears. A page that is only a showreel with no way to start a brief loses that visitor. They want work close to their own product and a clear first step.

  • “A lost bid is still a lead”

The agency that chose another house this time will brief again. A studio that records why it lost, who sat on the panel and when the next campaign season starts turns one declined treatment into the next invitation to bid.

What we do

What we deliver for advertising film studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Agency producer list by city

A list of producers and creative heads at agencies in the cities you shoot in, each with the last film they are known to have commissioned and the director who would suit them.

Result: You can see which producers have had a note and which have not.

  2. Roster link on every introduction

One link to the director roster with reels, so each note opens on work and not on an attachment that has to be downloaded.

Result: A producer can open your roster from a phone without a file.

  3. Brief form for direct brands

A form asking for the length, format, cast, locations and usage, placed on a page of relevant sample work.

Result: A direct enquiry arrives with the details a quote needs.

  4. Lost-bid follow-up note

A short message sent after a decline, thanking the producer, asking what decided it and noting when the next campaign season begins.

Result: Every lost bid has a recorded reason and a date to write again.

  5. Lead source record

Each brief logged by origin: an agency panel, a director's name, a past client, the website or a referral.

Result: You can say where the last briefs came from.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a bought list of agency contacts worth using?
A bought list gives names without context. A list built by hand, with the agency, the city, the last film commissioned and the director who fits, is read. Check the source and the consent behind any list before writing to anyone on it.
Do brand teams really commission a studio directly?
Businesses without an agency do, for product films, corporate films and short digital ads. They need the whole process explained, so the form and the cost guide carry more weight with them than a reel alone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
