Agricultural seed companies · WhatsApp marketing

Reach the dealer and the farmer on the app they open before they open anything else.

WhatsApp marketing for a seed company is the use of broadcast lists, a business number and short crop videos to reach dealers and farmers who already live on the app. GullySales plans the lists, the messages and the permissions so every send is expected and answerable.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For agricultural seed companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Dealers run their shops on WhatsApp”

Orders, price questions and complaints already travel there. A dealer who receives your variety sheet and reservation slip in the same thread where orders arrive is more likely to read it. Keep the message short, name the variety first and attach one clear photograph of the plot.

  • “A broadcast without permission becomes a block”

Farmers who did not ask for messages block the number. Collect consent at the field day gate and the dealer counter, and keep an easy way to stop. A short list of people who agreed is worth more than a long list of numbers copied from a register.

  • “The village group is not yours to enter”

Crop videos reach farmers through groups that dealers and progressive farmers run. Give them content worth forwarding rather than asking to be added to the group. Ask the dealer or farmer who runs a group what they would like to forward, and make that.

  • “One number, several people”

If the field team shares a personal number, customers lose the thread when someone leaves. Use a business number with a named owner and a handover rule. Record every conversation's owner in the CRM so a customer is never asked to repeat the story.

What we do

What we deliver for agricultural seed companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. WhatsApp Business setup

A business profile, a catalogue of varieties by crop and saved replies for common questions.

Result: A farmer messaging the number gets a prompt, correct reply.

  2. Consent capture

A sign-up line at field days and dealer counters recording who agreed to receive messages.

Result: Every list member has a consent record.

  3. Dealer broadcast lists

Lists by district and crop for sowing reminders, stock arrivals and field day invitations.

Result: A message reaches only the dealers it concerns.

  4. Farmer message sequence

A short run of messages after a field day: the plot photograph, the nearest dealer, the sowing note.

Result: The same sequence runs after each field day.

  5. Reply desk and handover

A named person answering messages in district languages, with a rule for passing questions to the agronomist.

Result: No question waits without an owner.

  6. Complaint intake by message

A number and a form for germination complaints, capturing lot, dealer and village.

Result: Complaints arrive with the details needed to trace them.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is WhatsApp marketing allowed for seed companies?
Messaging rules and platform terms change, so check the platform's current rules and get consent before sending. Seed labelling rules differ by state, so the same care applies to what a message claims.
Do we need the paid API or is the Business app enough?
Start with the Business app if the volume is small and one person handles replies. Move to the paid route when lists grow or several people answer, and then compare providers on the support they give.
Should we message farmers directly or go through dealers?
Both, with different jobs. Dealers receive stock and terms. Farmers who asked receive crop notes and the name of their nearest dealer, so the sale stays at the counter.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
