DJs, musicians and live entertainers · Search engine optimisation

Appear when a family or planner searches for a wedding DJ or live band in your city.

SEO for a DJ, band or live entertainer is the work that makes your own site appear when someone searches for the kind of artist they need in their city. GullySales works on the pages, the text around the clips and the technical basics.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For DJs, musicians and live entertainers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search names the event and the city”

A bride's family types 'sangeet DJ in Mysuru' or 'live band for corporate event Pune'. An artist whose site names the event types and cities it serves gives search something to match.

  • “A reel on Instagram is not a page”

A clip posted to a social platform does not appear for those searches in the same way. A page on the artist's own site, with the clip and a description, can.

  • “One page for everything finds nobody”

A single home page that says 'DJ, singer, band, host' does not match a precise search. Separate pages for wedding DJ, live band and corporate entertainment each answer one query.

  • “Booking platforms outrank a solo artist”

Directories and marketplaces collect the searches. The artist's own site must carry something the directory does not: real clips, a clear rate approach and a direct enquiry route.

What we do

What we deliver for DJs, musicians and live entertainers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Pages for each type of booking

Wedding DJ, live band, corporate entertainment and venue nights, each written for the buyer of that type.

Result: The site answers precise searches by name.

  2. City pages for places you play

A page for each city or region served, naming venues and events with permission.

Result: A search with a city name finds the artist.

  3. Clips with descriptions

Each video placed on a page with a written description of the event, the crowd and the set.

Result: The media can be found and understood.

  4. Titles and descriptions for search

Page titles that carry the artist type, the event and the city.

Result: A result tells the reader what and where.

  5. A site built for a mobile connection

Video embedded sensibly so pages open on a mobile connection.

Result: A planner can watch a clip without waiting.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can an individual artist rank against agencies?
No promise can be made. A focused site with real clips and city pages gives the artist a fair chance in specific searches, and the direct route to the artist is what some buyers want.
Do we need a blog?
Not at first. Pages for each service and city come first. Writing about how to plan music for a sangeet can follow when you have the time.
Can we use song titles in set lists on the site?
Naming songs in a set list is common, but music rights and licences are a matter for your own adviser. Keep the page about the artist's style and formats.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
