Get booked for the wedding season before the planner finalises the line-up.

A bride's cousin messages three DJs on Instagram on a Sunday night. One replies in an hour with a link, a rate card and a free date. One replies on Tuesday. The third never replies. The booking goes to the first, and the cousin never listens to the other two.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A venue manager and musician reviewing a running order beside stage equipment

In one paragraph

DJs, musicians and live entertainers are hired for weddings, corporate events, college fests and venue nights. Marketing means a planner or host can see and hear you in two minutes. Sales means turning a date enquiry into a confirmed booking with an advance. GullySales builds the profile, the enquiry desk and the follow-up.

For a performer, talent is not the gap. The gap is the hour between the enquiry and the answer, the clip that shows a real sangeet crowd, and the planner who needs a name they can trust before the date is confirmed. Weddings, corporate evenings and college fests each ask for something different, and the page you send has to match.

How buyers decide

How DJs, musicians and live entertainers are chosen.

A wedding family or planner shortlists from Instagram clips, a friend's recommendation and a planner's own list. They want to see the artist in front of a crowd like theirs, hear a sample, know the equipment and the number of people on stage, and get a price and a free date. They book on a reply and an advance, not on a long deck.

A corporate event head or a college fest committee works from a budget, a date and approvals. They ask for an invoice with GST, a rider, a sound check time and a clean performance clip. A venue manager hiring a resident DJ or a band for a weekly night asks for a regular slot, a crowd that returns and a fit with the venue's music and licence.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for DJs, musicians and live entertainers.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Enquiries arrive as Instagram DMs and get lost”

A date, a venue and a budget are buried in a thread between reels. The reply goes out a day late or never.

  • “The best clips are not on any page”

Planners ask for a video and get a long WhatsApp forward, filmed in the dark on a phone.

  • “Rates are quoted differently each time”

Without a rate card, every enquiry becomes a negotiation from scratch and the artist underprices on a bad day.

  • “Planners do not know the artist exists”

Wedding and event planners recommend the names on their list. A newer performer is not on it.

  • “No proof for corporate and college buyers”

A fest committee asks for past college shows or company events and the artist has only wedding clips.

  • “Off-season months have no bookings”

The wedding season is full and the monsoon months are empty, because corporate and venue work was never pursued.

What we do

What we do for DJs, musicians and live entertainers.

Everything included for DJs, musicians and live entertainers.

  1. A one-page artist profile with a booking route

A clean page with the best two clips, a sample set, equipment list, stage size, travel policy and a single enquiry form that asks for date, venue, event type and budget.

  2. A rate card and booking terms

A written sheet by event type, with what the advance covers, what happens on cancellation and what is extra, in your own figures.

  3. A WhatsApp reply desk

A business number with a saved first reply, a free-date check and a follow-up reminder for enquiries that go quiet.

  4. Instagram and YouTube clip organisation

Highlights sorted by event type: sangeet, corporate, college and venue. A pinned clip for each, with the planner's view in mind.

  5. A planner and venue introduction pack

A short document and a sample clip sent to wedding planners, event agencies and venue managers.

  6. Corporate and college proof

A page of past events by type, written with the organiser's permission, with invoicing and GST details in plain words.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries by source: Instagram, WhatsApp, planner, venue
  • Reply time to a date enquiry
  • Advances received against enquiries
  • Bookings from planners and agencies
  • Corporate and college bookings against weddings
  • Repeat and referral bookings

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Wedding and sangeet bookings · Corporate annual days and launch evenings · College fests and cultural festival bookings · Resident nights at restaurants and cafes · Private concerts and house parties · Festival-season shows for Ganesh, Navratri and Diwali · Event-planner partnerships · Online sets and recorded content · Equipment hire as an add-on

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what DJs, musicians and live entertainers most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Wedding season readiness

A calendar of free dates posted ahead of the season, with search and Instagram ads in the artist's home city and the nearby wedding towns.

  • Corporate year-end and annual day push

A message to HR and admin heads at companies in the city with a corporate set clip and rate sheet.

  • College fest circuit

An outreach to cultural secretaries at colleges before the fest calendar is set, with a performance clip from a similar campus.

  • Venue resident night pitch

A pitch to restaurants, cafes and event spaces with a proposal for a recurring music night built around their crowd, bookings and food sales.

  • Festival-season shows

A short campaign for Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri and Diwali programmes with housing societies and community halls.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of DJs, musicians and live entertainers, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Wedding planners and decor companies

We list the planners in your city and nearby wedding towns and prepare an introduction with a referral arrangement they can understand.

  • Event agencies and corporate admin heads

We prepare outreach to agencies and to the people who organise annual days, product launches and team events.

  • College cultural committees

We list the fests in your area and write the first message to the cultural secretary with a performance clip.

  • Restaurant and venue managers

We approach venues that host music nights with a proposal tied to their bookings and licence.

  • Housing society and club committees

Society events for festivals and annual days are pitched to the committee with a clear rate and a sample set.

Who it is for

This is written for these DJs, musicians and live entertainers.

  • Wedding DJs for sangeet, baraat and reception nights
  • Live bands for weddings, corporate events and restaurants
  • Classical, ghazal and Sufi musicians for private concerts
  • Instrumentalists, singers and playback artists for events

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

How the work runs for DJs, musicians and live entertainers

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the act

We read your requirements brief and talk through your music, event types, rate history and where bookings come from now.

  2. 2

    Fix the enquiry first

A booking form, a WhatsApp number and a reply script are in place before we spend on reach.

  3. 3

    Build the profile

A page, clip library and rate card shaped around the buyers you want, with consent for any footage showing guests.

  4. 4

    Reach planners and venues

Outreach and campaigns timed to the wedding, corporate and fest calendars, with media spend agreed in writing.

  5. 5

    Measure against the baseline

Enquiries, free-date checks, advances received and repeat bookings are compared with the position recorded at the start.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

GullySales builds every engagement from three pieces of sales work. This page is not one of them, but the same three steps apply to the business behind it.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions DJs, musicians and live entertainers ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will you get me more wedding bookings?
We make you easier to find and book for the dates you want filled, and we follow up enquiries that go quiet. We cannot promise a number of bookings, because that depends on your calendar, rates and the planners' lists.
Can you help me approach corporate buyers?
Yes. We build a corporate clip, a rate sheet with GST details and an outreach list of HR and admin heads. The first conversation is yours.
Do you promote alcohol or club offers?
No. We write about the performance, the venue night and the booking. Rules on advertising alcohol and on live music in venues differ by state, so check with your own adviser, and we leave out anything about drinks or drinking offers.
What about music rights and performance licences?
Public performance rights, such as PPL and IPRS licences, sit with the organiser's and venue's concern, and the position differs by event. Ask your own adviser. We will not write that a performance is cleared.
I am a new artist with few events. Is this for me?
Yes, if you have at least a few usable clips. We start with the profile and the reply desk. If you have no footage yet, record a set first and come back to us.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
