Film equipment rental companies · Social media

Show the kit working on a set so the next crew can picture it in their hands.

Social media marketing for a film equipment rental house is the use of Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn to show your gear in use and keep your name in front of crews between shoots. GullySales works on what you post, to whom it speaks and how a post leads to an availability request.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For film equipment rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Crews watch the work, not the rate card”

A cinematographer scrolls through behind-the-scenes clips and sets from other productions. A post showing a lens in use on a real set, with permission from the crew, tells them more than a list of daily rates.

  • “Gear photographs pull the wrong audience”

A glossy picture of a camera body draws gear enthusiasts, not line producers. A post that names the shoot type and the kit used, such as an ad film or a short film, attracts the person who books.

  • “Credit and permission shape what you can show”

Footage, stills and set photographs belong to the production. Posting without the director's or producer's agreement damages the relationship you are trying to build, so permission is asked before a post goes live.

  • “Posts without a next step go nowhere”

A good clip that ends without a booking route wastes the attention. Each post needs a clear way to ask for dates, through a link or a WhatsApp message that reaches the shared inbox.

What we do

What we deliver for film equipment rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A post plan built around kits and shoot types

A set of post ideas for each camera package, lighting kit and shoot type you rent.

Result: The page has a reason behind every post.

  2. A permission note for crews

A short message to ask a production for approval and credit before sharing images or clips.

Result: Each post shown has the production's agreement on record.

  3. Captions that name the kit and the use

Plain captions listing the items used and what the shoot needed.

Result: A producer reading the post can match it to their own job.

  4. A booking route on every profile

A pinned link or WhatsApp message to request dates, tied to the same inbox as your website.

Result: Social attention reaches the booking desk.

  5. A LinkedIn presence for production houses and agencies

Short posts and introductions aimed at line producers and agency producers.

Result: The people who approve equipment budgets can find you.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform matters most for a rental house?
Instagram suits crews and photographers, YouTube suits longer set walkthroughs and LinkedIn suits agency producers. Start with the one your regular renters already use, and check where your enquiries say they found you.
Can we post a client's shoot without asking?
No. Ask the production first and credit them as they prefer. Footage from a set belongs to the production and to the people in it.
Should we post rates on social media?
It is your choice. Rates on a public post can start price comparison before the crew has seen the support you give. A post that points to a request button keeps the conversation on your terms.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
