Fish farms · Social media

Show buyers a working farm before they ever ring the number.

Social media for a fish farm means short posts and videos of the pond, the harvest and the packing that buyers and families see on their phones. GullySales works on what to film, what to say and where to post it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For fish farms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A harvest video does what a sales call cannot”

A trader watching the net come in sees the size, the colour and the quantity at once. A short clip from the bank answers questions that would otherwise take several phone calls.

  • “Posting without a buyer in mind wastes the effort”

A post about fish feed interests other farmers. A post about a Thursday harvest of table-size catla interests a caterer. The reader you want decides the subject.

  • “Farmers in a district watch each other”

Neighbouring farmers and seed suppliers follow who is harvesting and who is stocking. A page that shows your practice plainly becomes known to them, and they pass on your name.

  • “Claims about the fish need care”

Words such as chemical-free, organic or disease-free invite a challenge you may not be able to meet. Show what you do, such as feed given and water kept, and leave the grand claims alone.

What we do

What we deliver for fish farms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A filming list for harvest days

The shots worth taking at each stage, such as the pond, the net, the weighing and the iced crates, with a caption for each.

Result: A set of clips and captions made on your own phone.

  2. A page set-up on Instagram and Facebook

A profile with the farm name, location, species and contact number, written for buyers and for families.

Result: A profile that states what you sell and where.

  3. A post plan by audience

Separate subjects for traders, kitchens, households and fellow farmers, so each post has one reader in mind.

Result: A list of post ideas sorted by who they are for.

  4. A harvest announcement format

A fixed layout for stating species, size, quantity and date, reused each time a pond comes ready.

Result: A template you fill in rather than design again.

  5. A permission note for photographs

A short wording for asking visitors and workers before their picture is posted.

Result: A line you can read out or send before you film people.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these fish farms.

  • Cage culture units in reservoirs and large water bodies
  • Farms growing murrel, magur and other air-breathing fish
  • Fish farmers' groups and societies selling together
  • Farms with a pay-and-catch pond or a farm-visit weekend
  • Integrated farms with a fish pond beside paddy, poultry or dairy
  • Farms that supply table-size fish to hotels and caterers

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should a fish farm use?
Start with WhatsApp and Instagram or Facebook, whichever your buyers already use. Ask your last few buyers where they look, and begin there instead of spreading across every platform.
Can we post prices?
You can, but a price posted in public becomes the number every buyer quotes back. Some farms post size and quantity and give the rate on a call. Decide this with your family before the first post.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
