Industrial mineral suppliers · Social media

Show the plant buyer a supplier whose material and loading are under control.

Social media for a mineral supplier is not a following; it is a visible record that your material is graded, tested and loaded with care. GullySales works on what goes on LinkedIn, YouTube and WhatsApp status so a purchase or quality head sees proof before the first call.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For industrial mineral suppliers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The audience is a few hundred named roles”

A mineral supplier is not chasing the public. The people who matter are purchase managers, kiln heads, foundry chemists and mine owners. Posts written for a general audience reach none of them, while a post about a screening step or moisture check might.

  • “Buyers want to see the process, not a stock photograph”

A picture of a clean mine face, a drying floor, a sieve line or a labelled bag shows control better than a generic image of a rock. The photograph should carry the grade, the plant and the date taken on the sheet it matches.

  • “LinkedIn reaches the decision makers, WhatsApp keeps them”

A quality head may find you on LinkedIn, but the sample query and later orders run on WhatsApp. Social work should push a reader to one number that is answered, not to a page of icons.

  • “Posting about price invites the wrong reply”

A post quoting a rate per tonne draws a traders' price war. A post about a batch test, a loading photograph or a new grade draws questions about the grade. The first is a price list, the second is a conversation.

What we do

What we deliver for industrial mineral suppliers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Proof-post bank

A set of post ideas built from your own operations, such as screening, drying, testing and loading, each tied to a grade.

Result: Each post shows one real step from your plant.

  2. LinkedIn company page and profiles

The page and the key people's profiles set up so a buyer looking you up finds grades, plant location and a named contact.

Result: A buyer searching your name sees a complete page.

  3. Short video of loading and testing

Phone-shot clips of loading, moisture checks and bag labelling, edited with captions that state the grade.

Result: You hold a few clips a buyer can be sent.

  4. WhatsApp status routine

A plan for what goes on status for existing buyers, such as a new grade arriving or a plant holiday.

Result: Regular buyers see stock and holiday notices without being messaged.

  5. Post review against enquiries

A look at which posts were followed by a sample request or a call.

Result: You know which kind of post a buyer replied to.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is social media useful for a business-to-business mineral seller?
Yes, in a narrow way. It does not bring volume of enquiries. It gives buyers a reason to trust you when a sample reaches them, which the first order depends on.
Should we post prices?
We advise against it. Delivered rates move with freight, and a posted rate gets quoted back to you after it has changed. Post grades and proof, and quote against an enquiry.
Can we show our customers' plants?
Only with the customer's written agreement. Many plants will not allow it. Posts about your own site, tests and loading carry the message without the question.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
