Astrologers · Buyer persona

The family that books you is not always the person who sent the message.

A buyer persona for an astrologer describes who consults, who pays, who decides and what each of them needs to hear before a sitting is booked. GullySales writes it from your own record of consultations, so your pages and replies speak to the real household.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For astrologers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Several people, one consultation”

A horoscope match involves the young person whose chart it is, the parents who want it done, the relatives who offer opinions and sometimes the priest who gave your name. Each asks a different question, and a reply written for only one of them leaves the others unconvinced.

  • “The elder wants a person, the child wants a link”

Parents judge you by your language, your manner and whether your name is known in their circle. The son or daughter in another city judges by whether booking, payment and the video call work without phone tag. One practice has to satisfy both in the same week.

  • “The occasion sets the mood”

A family arriving for a naming is happy and unhurried. A family arriving because a match has been delayed may be anxious and guarded. The skill with charts is the same, but the opening line of the reply must change, and calm wording matters most when a family is worried.

  • “Tradition shapes what the family expects”

A household that follows nadi or KP expects a different sitting from one that follows the family panchanga. Knowing which system a household trusts, and which language is spoken at home, decides whether your page feels written for them or for a stranger.

What we do

What we deliver for astrologers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Personas drawn from your own sittings

A few profiles built from families you have already consulted: who made the first contact, who attended, who paid and who came back for a later occasion.

Result: You can describe the families you serve in plain words.

  2. A map of who decides

For each occasion, a note of the person who searches, the person who pays and the elder whose word settles it, with the language each of them uses.

Result: Replies are addressed to the right person.

  3. The doubts each persona carries

The questions a parent, a young adult and an overseas son or daughter ask before booking, written in the words they use on calls and messages.

Result: Pages answer the doubts families actually have.

  4. Wording for an anxious family

Opening lines for replies and pages that stay calm and factual when a family is worried, with no fear and no promise attached.

Result: A worried parent is met with steadiness.

  5. Personas applied to pages and replies

Each service page and saved reply checked against the persona it is meant for, and rewritten where it speaks to nobody in particular.

Result: Every page has a reader in mind.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who is asking

Each person near a consultation asks a different question first.

Parents arranging a match
Want to know how matching is done in your tradition, what they must send and whether you will speak to both families before they meet.
A young adult who messaged first
Wants a clear booking, a fee and a video call that works, and may not want the elders to know how the first contact was made.
A family naming a newborn
Is happy and unhurried, wants the method explained and wants the name suggestions presented as a choice and not a verdict.
A household fixing a muhurta
Has a date near, a ceremony to plan and relatives waiting, and asks whether you can give a time in the week they have.
A family abroad
Wants a time that suits their zone, a way to pay and a written note afterwards that elders back home can read.

Who it is for

This is written for these astrologers.

  • Vedic astrologers and jyotishis with a family practice
  • Astrologers attached to temples or maths
  • KP astrology practitioners
  • Nadi astrology centres
  • Numerologists
  • Tarot readers
  • Palmists and face readers
  • Online astrologers consulting across cities and abroad
  • Muhurta and panchanga specialists

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not yet recorded who comes to you and why, so a persona would repeat what you assume about families you have not asked
  • You want to sort families by caste, income or religion, which this page does not do and which would not improve any reply
  • Your sittings are few and you know each household, so a written persona would tell you nothing you do not know already

How it works

How the buyer persona work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Structured conversations with recent buyers, held as talk about the last purchase and not a questionnaire. We ask what happened before they called, who else was involved and what they compared. Customers agree before we contact them, and their answers are reported without names.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have. The sales team reads the drafts and says which ring true. A persona they do not recognise is rewritten.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

Do we need a persona if we know our families already?
You know them in your head. Writing them down lets a page, a saved reply or an assistant at the desk speak the same way, and it shows which kinds of family you are not reaching at all.
Should the persona record caste, income or religion?
Keep to what shapes the sitting: the occasion, the language, the tradition followed and who decides. Do not record caste or income, and do not guess at a family's circumstances. Note only what the family told you for the consultation.
Where does the information come from?
From your own register of sittings and the messages families have sent you, read with their privacy in mind. Nothing is bought or scraped. If the record is thin, the first task is to start keeping one.
How should the reply differ for an anxious family?
Open with calm and the next step, not with the chart. A family worried about a delayed match needs to hear what will happen and when they can speak to you. Leave out any warning, because that is what the fear videos supply.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step

Tell us what you are trying to grow, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps, mostly taps. Skip anything you would rather answer on the call.
