Export-import consultants · Local SEO

Be the consultant an exporter finds when searching near the port or the cluster.

Local SEO for an export-import consultant means appearing on maps and in search for owners in your city, port town or industrial cluster who prefer someone they can visit. GullySales sets up the profile, the location pages and the review habit, with no promise about map position.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For export-import consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Exporters in a cluster prefer someone nearby”

A knitwear maker in an industrial town wants a consultant who knows the local forwarders, the nearby port and the district industries centre. A profile that says where you work and whom you serve answers that preference.

  • “The Google profile carries a generic label”

Naming the business only as a consultancy tells a searcher little. The profile should name exports, imports, customs and documentation, and show the services and areas in plain words.

  • “Your office is not where your clients are”

A consultant in one city may serve exporters in several ports and clusters. Location pages for each place served, with honest detail on what you handle there, reach the owner who searches near their own port.

  • “Reviews from exporters need a careful ask”

A first-timer who was burned by someone else reads reviews closely. A client who has shipped successfully is the right person to ask, and the request should go out in the moment they say the container has left.

What we do

What we deliver for export-import consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile set-up

The profile completed with services, service areas, hours and a phone number that is answered, and kept consistent with the website.

Result: The profile reads the same as your site and your visiting card.

  2. Location pages for ports and clusters

A page for each port or cluster you serve, naming the products you handle there and the offices or forwarders you work alongside.

Result: An owner near a given port finds a page about that port.

  3. Directory and listing clean-up

A check of how the business name, address and phone appear across directories and corrections where they differ.

Result: Every listing carries the same details.

  4. A review request message

A short WhatsApp message to send a client after a successful shipment, asking for a review in their own words.

Result: The request goes out at the right moment, with no script to fabricate.

  5. Map photos and service lists

Photos of the office and a clear service list on the profile, replaced when the services change.

Result: A visitor sees a real office and the services you offer.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do I need an office in every port?
No. A location page describes the places you serve, and it must be honest about whether you visit or work remotely. Do not list an address you do not keep.
Can I ask clients to write reviews?
Yes, by asking politely after a good outcome. Do not offer a gift or fee for a review, and check the platform's current rules before you run any review programme.
What if my clients are all over India?
Local SEO then plays a smaller part, and product pages carry more weight. A profile for your office still helps owners in your own city, and your referrers can still find you on the map.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
