IT staffing and contract hiring firms · Digital marketing

Reach hiring managers and candidates on the channels each one uses.

Digital marketing for an IT staffing firm is the use of search, LinkedIn, job boards and email to bring both companies and candidates to a conversation. GullySales works on channel choice, tracking and what happens after the enquiry.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For IT staffing and contract hiring firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Two audiences need two plans”

A campaign for hiring managers and one for engineers differ in channel, message and measure. Treat them separately.

  • “Job boards bring volume and noise”

Naukri and similar boards bring applications that are in large part unsuited. Judge a board by profiles submitted and joinings, not applications.

  • “LinkedIn is where managers and engineers meet”

Both sides use it. A clear page, relevant posts and direct messages to the right roles work better than broad ads.

  • “The count that matters is joinings”

Applications and enquiries are early steps. The business is paid at joining, so track every channel to that point.

What we do

What we deliver for IT staffing and contract hiring firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan for each audience

Which channels to use for companies and for candidates, with the measure for each.

    Result: Spend follows the audience.

  2. Tracking from source to joining

Each requirement and each candidate tagged by source, and followed to a submission or joining.

Result: You know which channels produced joinings.

  3. Landing pages for campaigns

A page for each skill or hiring model, with one route to submit a requirement.

Result: Campaign visits land on a relevant page.

  4. An email programme

Messages to clients and to consenting candidates about roles and hiring models.

Result: The owned list is used with consent.

  5. A review of cost against joinings

Each channel's spend set against submissions and joinings, discussed with the owner.

Result: Spending decisions rest on placements.

  6. A hiring-model comparison page

A plain page setting out contract, contract-to-hire and permanent hire, what the client signs and how a replacement is handled, so a hiring manager chooses a model before the call.

Result: Calls begin with a model chosen, not a lecture.

  7. A consent line on every candidate form

A consent line on the profile form and the job-alert sign-up that says how the CV is stored and shared with clients, with a way to ask for removal, so the email list is built on permission.

Result: Every candidate email address has a recorded consent.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Do we need paid ads for IT staffing?
Not necessarily. Referrals, LinkedIn outreach and search pages may produce enough. Test paid channels on a small scale and judge them on placements, because a campaign that fills the inbox with CVs and yields no joinings has only cost your recruiters hours.
Which job boards are worth paying for?
Those whose submitted profiles turn into interviews and joinings. Keep a record of each board's results by skill and city and drop those that do not produce placements. Check each board's current rules before you renew a plan.
How do we measure a campaign for candidates?
By submissions, interviews and joinings from that campaign, not by applications. A campaign that attracts unsuited applicants costs your recruiters time, so also record how many profiles a recruiter rejected, because that count is the real cost of the channel.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
